Helping Tornado Victims

Site Update

We were asked by Senpai and Morris (#16) to do a donation drive for victims of the tornadoes that hit the southern US. Springdragon (#650) made us these three lovely designs to give to anyone who donates funds to a reputable charity, like the Salvation Army or Red Cross.

Donate $5.00 or more and get the Sors.
Donate $10.00 or more and get the Chiro and the Sors.
Donate $20.00 or more and get the Nexus, Chiro, and Sors.

Donate directly to an appropriate charity of your choice, then forward the receipt to [email protected]. Include your user ID so the pet(s) can be sent to you as a custom. We have decided to make donation pets as "customs" instead of "site pets" so that they can be exclusive to donators.

I will update this news post with the total amount donated by Aywas users at the end of the week so you can get an idea of how much we've helped. :)

This is so awesome, you guys. I just moved from Memphis and I was actually in Memphis visiting my grandmother when the storms hit. It was honestly in the top 3 most terrifying few days of my life. And that's saying something considering I'm originally from the heart of Tornado Alley. Even though the tornadoes weren't as bad in Memphis, it's still completely devastated by flood waters. Several business and roads have had to close. People have been evacuated from their homes. It's horrible. And I'm sure whatever anyone can donate will be extremely helpful.

For those of you who are interested, there's a website showing the damage and giving some updates on the flooding. --> https://memphisflood.com/photos/
Those are just very few of the photos I've seen. It's hard to believe that just last weekend Music Fest was going on on the same streets that are now completely underwater.

Thank you so much to Aywas and everyone who's donating to help get not only Memphis, but all of the cities and lives affected by these storms back in order.

Question, On Red cross website, a way to donate is to Volunteer, would this still count? Because I have been volunteering to help Make packages (Food/Blankets, Ect) to go out to the People over in S.US

Thank you very much for doing this. One of the tornadoes on ap16 in NC missed my house by less than a mile, and a coworker lost everything. Another tornado on a later date ripped through one of my friends college dorms.

When sites like you do little things like this it means a lot. My friends and co-workers can use all the help they can get in starting over, and getting their lives back to normal.

Thank you Aywas.

@_@ This is much needed. Those storms were...terrifying to say the least.

I usually try to donate to animal charities. Would ASPCA be an appropriate charity?
