Helping Tornado Victims

Site Update

We were asked by Senpai and Morris (#16) to do a donation drive for victims of the tornadoes that hit the southern US. Springdragon (#650) made us these three lovely designs to give to anyone who donates funds to a reputable charity, like the Salvation Army or Red Cross.

Donate $5.00 or more and get the Sors.
Donate $10.00 or more and get the Chiro and the Sors.
Donate $20.00 or more and get the Nexus, Chiro, and Sors.

Donate directly to an appropriate charity of your choice, then forward the receipt to [email protected]. Include your user ID so the pet(s) can be sent to you as a custom. We have decided to make donation pets as "customs" instead of "site pets" so that they can be exclusive to donators.

I will update this news post with the total amount donated by Aywas users at the end of the week so you can get an idea of how much we've helped. :)

Thank you, Senpai and Morris. I would have tried to help out with the Smithville victims, but I've been busy. :( I have all of them in my thoughts and I hope I can donate a little once I get a job. And wtg, TAJ. That's really awesome. I wish I was there to help out. :(

Hope to donate within the next day or two for this. Love being part of a site that does donation drives to causes like this!

We had a few tornadoes come through Virginia as well as a result of the same storm system that hit other parts of the south.

This is a great idea. I can't really donate online, but I know my mom donated stuff to charity. I live in one of the states hit hard by these storms, but I'm glad to see this site also decided to help out the tornado victims.

I live in MS and the storms were something else! They keep getting more frequent in the last couple years, and wasn't it like 400+ tornado warnings at one time during all that? My local news was going nuts!

This kind of thing really means a lot to me. I have friends who lost a roof or a pet or cars to them, but we're all thankful it didn't kill more people than it did! Again, thanks for doing this.

Thank you so much for doing this. I live in Georgia, and the devastation is incredible. We made it out with some minor damage to the house, but a few people I know were not so lucky. Every bit counts, and we are all very thankful for any aid at all. It's great to be part of an online community that is so positive and proactive for helping the world around them. Again, thank you, and thank you to all of the users that are able to reach out and donate online or however you are able to help.
