NaNoWriMo 2010

Contests

OH GOD IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN
WHEN NONE OF US GET ANY SLEEP...

That's write!* It's time for NaNoWriMo 2010!

What is NaNoWriMo? It is National Novel Writing Month. This is when you spend all of November torturing yourself! HOW, YOU ASK? By writing a 50,000-word novel in one month! Sounds fun, write?* Essentially you write 1,667 words a day and you're GOLD!

There's a NaNo board that magically appeared in the Creativity forum to help put on the peer pressure to finish your work. ^_^

There are even some cool prizes for writing your beast, just to incentivize you (as if peer pressure wasn't enough, psh).

So, go prepare yourself for this month of mental torture, writing mayhem, and complete awesomeness. Believe me, there's no better feeling than OH GOD IT'S NOVEMBER 30TH I STILL HAVE 5,000 WORDS TO WRITE then finishing on time, and you're like...hey... I have a novel in this Microsoft Word document. Holy crap.

Pretty awesome, sir.

Might I suggest you have more info leading to the official website, and even mention that the NaNo website offers free proof copies to winners. And such, and how the official NaNo had adoption forums for people still in search for plots to use in these last few days.

This is awesome. I'm no writer, and I doubt I'll participate, but its a fun opportunity for those who have the creative juices to bang out long stories for prizes. GL everyone on NaNoWriMo!

I totally wanna do this. AND I WILL ATTEMPT. But um, what if people are sharing accounts and both of them do this, do both get prizes at the end? o: Or does just one get a prize?

>that if people are sharing accounts and both of them do this
They both get prizes as long as they have separate threads.
