NaNoWriMo 2010

Contests

OH GOD IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN
WHEN NONE OF US GET ANY SLEEP...

That's write!* It's time for NaNoWriMo 2010!

What is NaNoWriMo? It is National Novel Writing Month. This is when you spend all of November torturing yourself! HOW, YOU ASK? By writing a 50,000-word novel in one month! Sounds fun, write?* Essentially you write 1,667 words a day and you're GOLD!

There's a NaNo board that magically appeared in the Creativity forum to help put on the peer pressure to finish your work. ^_^

There are even some cool prizes for writing your beast, just to incentivize you (as if peer pressure wasn't enough, psh).

So, go prepare yourself for this month of mental torture, writing mayhem, and complete awesomeness. Believe me, there's no better feeling than OH GOD IT'S NOVEMBER 30TH I STILL HAVE 5,000 WORDS TO WRITE then finishing on time, and you're like...hey... I have a novel in this Microsoft Word document. Holy crap.

Pretty awesome, sir.

I try this every year and every year I fall behind in the first week. A Hybrid Potion is an awesome prize though, so I might try.

Hm.. maybe.. Do we get to keep our work. Like if we are planning on trying to actually get it published one day would we be able no? No rights to anyone and none taken from us? >.>

Omosky, if you want to get your work published, you are better off not posting it anywhere. You won't qualify for a prize that way, but it's the only way to conform with publishers seeing posting something on the internet, even a forum, as being published (first rights is what they like getting).

Oooh, I love writing!
Mh, but I'm not sure I'm that good in writing long stories in English, since my native language is German.
But I'll definitely try :3
