OH GOD IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN
WHEN NONE OF US GET ANY SLEEP...
That's write!* It's time for NaNoWriMo 2010!
What is NaNoWriMo? It is National Novel Writing Month. This is when you spend all of November torturing yourself! HOW, YOU ASK? By writing a 50,000-word novel in one month! Sounds fun, write?* Essentially you write 1,667 words a day and you're GOLD!
There's a NaNo board that magically appeared in the Creativity forum to help put on the peer pressure to finish your work. ^_^
There are even some cool prizes for writing your beast, just to incentivize you (as if peer pressure wasn't enough, psh).
So, go prepare yourself for this month of mental torture, writing mayhem, and complete awesomeness. Believe me, there's no better feeling than OH GOD IT'S NOVEMBER 30TH I STILL HAVE 5,000 WORDS TO WRITE then finishing on time, and you're like...hey... I have a novel in this Microsoft Word document. Holy crap.
Pretty awesome, sir.

first time ever, never heard of NaNoWriMo until i joined Aywas! yay Aywas! lol
i am going to try my hand at this and i am determined to have fun too =D

Yes! I LOVE NaNo month! I participated last year, and look very forward to completing another 50K words this year! Doing this on top of college is going to be a real ..... but I've got several ideas and I WANT THOSE PRIZES! Slash, you are the best for offering prizes again this year!

ummmmmm i HATE writing.. lol.. love reading.. hate writing... SOOOOO not doing this... i SUCK at writing... besides my brains too disorganized. i wouldnt be able to write a novel that would be congruent to anyone... it'd be like playing 52-pickup with thoughts from my brain if people were trying to read something i'd written that were even a full page or two long let alone THAT long.. lol..

hmmm now that i think of it i checked the word count on a LONG response i did to an email yesterday and was 691 words... hmmm well i know i wouldnt be any good at writing a STORY kinda thing... but if a 50000 word compilation of all new writings on little known or frequently overlooked things and or trivia to make you really THINK counted and anyone wanted to read it then i might actually take the time to do it.

I'm going to try, but I'm going to try working on a different idea from that of my novel. I'm always so paranoid about someone stealing my work.

So does everyone get prizes for participating in this or only the best? 50,000 words makes me want to cringe but it also seems like a nice challenge.
