Amity (#3340) decided to submit a breeding to the Ugliest Hybrid Breeding Ever Contest that made me wince and nod with agreement.

Green and pink and yellow and blue? how could this end well. You agree with me, right?

Looks like our hybrid artists are capable of making something nice out of an abomination. o__o

Speaking of breedings, be prepared for the release of Breeding Coins on July 1 - July 7. As always, they will be 75 GP.

Well that's not everyone's opinion of ugly... maybe you should've been more specific so people could've made better entries to the contest? ):

Yeah, I think the pairing is pretty as well. :) Love the baby.

Yeah, those two match really well. Pink and chartreuse go together, and both have yellow and orange accents with white undertones. From a beautiful pairing like that it's no surprise at all that they'd make a beautiful babby. Barring an incredibly lazy/inept babby artist (which we don't have here) I don't see how breeding could've gone wrong. The artist even stuck the base colors together, which honestly I'm not sure I would've attempted, and they still look fab.

I wish the information about the contest would've been more upfront. The challenge was for "ugliest hybrid," so I entered two drab greyish things devoid of markings that could've made nothing other than a drab grayish babby. If it had said "most clashing hybrid" I would have entered something much, much different.

Ah well. Someone will be getting a lot of mileage out of that beautiful Kyre.

Yeah. When I think ugly, I think browns and grays and boring neutral messes. Maybe some poop green in there.

Clashing would be a whole other contest for me

Yeah I gotta say, I'm with Skitty. I saw that entry and just thought how pretty it was. XD Yeah if it were based on color clashing, I would've done a different entry too since I thought it was just an "ugly overall", like markings/edits/ and everything else added XD Oh well, either way, I'm happy for the winner =)

'Ugly' is subjective, not everybody is going to see ugly the same way. Personally, I wouldn't have expected that pairing to produce such a lovely offspring. Congrats to Amity!

when I just saw that paring I was like "O.O how is that ugly at all?" The tones of the colors match, and as we all know green and pink match XD. Its lovelllly
