Speaking of breedings, be prepared for the release of Breeding Coins on July 1 - July 7. As always, they will be 75 GP.

I'm very disappointed in this contest. I though it was for a ugly hybrid and you go and pick 2 nice parents and produce a pretty baby. Regardless of how good the artist is, the baby should have been ugly. Serious fail slash.

Wow, everyone. :/ There isn't such need to be so rude. Haven't you ever heard of the phrase, "If you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" ? It comes into account everywhere.

It is hard to make something ugly when you have a artist, they make the bes of what colors they are given. Although I kinda wounder who came up with the colors for the manti clash but even so every thing is bound to be beautiful in someones eyes no matter how ugly some one else thinks it might be.
Some of us think monsters are ugly wild other think they are cute.
Some of us hate pink and it burns our eyes out till they bleeed while others ador it to the point I would die if I ever saw their wardrob.
Point is "Beauty is in hte eye of the beholder."

Denari, you have a point. The thing is...when have we known our colourists to simply do that when making a hybrid? They never do. I have seen hideous customs bred together to produce gorgeous hybrids.
So when you take that into consideration, I have to agree with Skitty, Toki, and Khiarhu.
Or maybe this a fault on part of the artist. I mean, that /is/ a watermelon kyre (awesome, but...maybe they think watermelons are ugly? o.o ).
Hopefully though, in the future, Slash will state more of what he's looking for when he hosts contests like this in the future (and I hope he does, I forgot to enter this one lol ). At the very least, maybe something should have been said to the artists: "Colours need to be layered over one another for the result of this contest." Things were definitely vague.
Or maybe even leave the judging to someone else entirely, multiple someone elses at that.
