The Antiquity Staves have now been removed from the GP shop! They may make another appearance later on in the year, otherwise they will be back next year!
Some of you have noticed the Upgrade Talisman has been removed from the BP Shop recently, this was supposed to have been mentioned in a previous news post however it has been brought to my attention that this was unfortunately forgot. It was removed due to a lack of GP premium sales, so it was unfortunately no longer maintainable to keep the item in the BP shop. It may return once we are able to restabilize the economy, however there is no plans in the near future.
If you have ideas to spark the GP/BP community, leave a suggestion in the comments below, however please keep in mind the ToS and do not partake in arguments or get hostile with eachother or the site.
Also please make sue you check down a few news posts, there was an update for the Pet Submissions for an upcoming event!

Hoo boy, that's gonna hurt the players who are broke IRL, or at least don't want to spend money on a virtual pet game. But at least it's for GP and not straight up USD, so it's still possible to get.

The premium item shop needs to get used more. Make it worth people's while to upgrade. Put a sketch breeding pendant in there and people will scramble to upgrade. (Suggestion)

Personally the only real reason I upgrade is for the additional slots on the flash games and for the discounts in the shops. I will buy the monthly premium HA set for the sake of having it but other than that I don't use it much.
Certain items in the Premium Outlet are ones worth buying (Such as the breeding coins and custom makers) though everything gets a bit boring when there is no change. I feel like adding more or having a rotating system in the shop would increase the amount of premium members.
Another thought, though probably unpopular; Why not put the second most popular monthly HA coloration into the premium shop? Since at the moment the most popular goes gold, the second most goes blue, and the last goes premium. I feel as though premium members who pay to upgrade their accounts should at least have access to the second best set rather than the least-favored of the favored sets.

Adding to this, as others alraey said tehre are just to few things that make premium really interesting... Many Monthly Premium items are uninteresting or availbel in other ways alet or even both) stuff that really gives you a little noost have been missing for a while (like the Koaf kabinets, the Cart of Geodes, X-Ray googles) tjogh teh Leaf Harmonica was a good step o this way....
On the other handwe have teh premium shop with myn not really interesting items in tehre... maybe things should change more often (like new pets) ... or a custom maker only availble in there for one or a few Special spezies or lines....

Since I complained in the mini rant forum about the Upgrade Talisman going *poof!* all of a sudden , I have to thank you for your honest answer. :)
About premium, I agree that having some new things specific to the shop might help, but probably not things available all year (to keep some "value").

Maybe if the premium items were always functioning and not instantly devalued it's make it somewhat worth it. Still waiting in the useless enchanted net to be useable instead of being a collectible.

Maybe something like a premium weekly raffle alongside the weekly raffle, with premium users being able to claim a ticket every week to enter into the draw? I'm not sure but I imagine that would be one of the easiest things to do since it could run alongside the current raffle.
That and more nice things in the premium shop, maybe a chance item of some sort since the user base goes crazy for them.

Being one of the people that spends a lot in the GP shop, I would have premium, even if the only benefit was the 10% discount.
I did the math. I'm saving GP on being premium...
That said, things that would make premium nicer for me:
Consistent Monthly Premium Items going out on time and - most importantly - working.
Seriously, I'd rather get a monthly pet potion on time, than waiting almost all month on an item that's "soon to be implemented" only to never see that happen.
Even if I'm happy to have premium just for the discount, getting an item that's never implemented is extremely frustrating to me, and makes me feel cheated.
More content in the premium shop:
I have 250 unexchanged silver geodes sitting in my inventory. Granted, I've won a lot of them from the Monthly HA contest, but... I have nothing I want to spend them on.
On top of that I have 2000 PP that are exchanged, and I do buy several HA trunks each month. I mean, I guess I could go crazy and spam the RBC artists, but... I'd honestly rather have some nice non-breeding items I could buy. Maybe a chance item like the balloons from the GP shop? Even if you made the price considerably higher than the GP shop counterparts, and only introduced something like the BluePaw Balloon, there'd be a lot of happy users buying.

Things to spark the GP/BP community in general, probably would be people feeling a little less anxious about the state of the site. I get that some things cost money, but...
- Weekly and Monthly Newspost really should go up on time. It's not good when the "welcome to the month" newsposts doesn't show up before after the 8th. This is the sort of very visible "lack of action" that makes users worried.
- Monthly content should go up on time. Including the premium item. Again, I'd rather see it being smaller and working than having to wait almost an entire month (or more) for something. Especially if users has been involved, and their content ends up in limbo.
- If you promise an event in XXX month, that event should happen in XXX month, OR be properly cancelled out and/or having the new event date explained. And again, it's better with something small that's working and going up in time, than not having the event happening.
I know it's beginning to be a standing joke, that almost all Holiday events are at least two weeks delayed, but... Again, it's not good.
- New site content outside the USD shop, or the site having events that actually is happening on a regular basis. This really has improved a lot during 2016, and makes me happy. Thumbs up! Keep doing nice things. :)
I get that there may be a shortage on money, and long breeding queues. But the things you *know* need to go up every month really should go up. On time! This is the one really visible thing all users see, and being constantly delayed to the point where things often never happen is not good.
That said: We have seen a lot of improvement on a lot of these things lately. So thumbs up to staff for improving things. :)
But there's still a lot of way to go before most the monthly happenings could be described as staple and consistently on time. Please keep improving.

It means you no longer can via BP shop. You have to go to USD shop>upgrade account and get it via GP.
