Eveglori (#2775) No worries. Admins need a little humor and joy in their lives....been there once on a pet site and never want to be there again, lol. ... *Spice wanders off wondering, after all her years on Aywas, how to attach one of those fauna she collects.*

Sigh sorry for the typos. Blame it on pregnancy brain. Retyped it's supposed to say "I actually have no idea what drama involves the fish. I never go on tumblr. I think it's adorable though. Thank you to all of the hardworking admins and mods.

Spice (#1431) By attach, do you mean equipping it to your pet? If so, you go to your pet's page and click the "assign fauna" button. If not, let me know what you did mean! c:

I guess mostly I'm just baffled by staff immaturity.

Basically, guys, on tumblr I called Eve out for being too nitpicky with custom % and taking too long figuring out a solution to the queue - hardworking or not, the fact that some people have been waiting almost an entire year is not something the site should be allowing - and along the way I called several of Eve's defenders "pearlfish" because pearlfish live inside the butts of sea cucumbers and in effect I was calling Eve's defenders buttkissers.

I explained this on tumblr, too, so there is no mistake that staff understands that pearlfish was meant as an insult. I also find it completely unbelievable that Eve "forgot" it as such.

Therefore, the fact that the item has shown up on-site - in a newspost, no less (as an item created by Eve herself) - is obviously a reference to the Tumblr mess, which, may I remind you all, happened not on-site, but on Tumblr. More specifically, it's an obvious dig at me, probably with some misguided intent to "undermine" or "reclaim" my insult.

Really, it just proves that, rather than focus on actually fixing or addressing the issues at hand, staff prefers to skirt the problem and exert "dominance" over the userbase - a highly toxic, extremely petty, and very detrimental attitude for them to have.

So regardless of whether or not you find my tone unsavory, I hope you can see how I and other users could be completely fed up with the way staff has been handling our complaints lately. Whatever excuses they throw around, for some reason peoples' queues have been stuck at almost a year, training 3 helpers has taken more than four months, and customs are so nitpicky that staff has "voted" before on whether or not customs should pass - when by that point the % should fall under an acceptable margin for error. And yet all complaints about these are met with vague "training takes time" and "you don't realize how much work these things take" handwaves.

TL;DR: Eve dragged an insult I used against her crew on Tumblr on-site as an official item in a newspost, which, pettiness aside, is incredibly unprofessional. The site remains slow and broken as she has taken time out of her schedule to do this. And if you want to offer that she does her work for free and so can't be expected to actually keep up with it, don't. If that IS the case, then the site should just fire her and look into hiring someone or someones for real pay, because the site's features actually working like they should ought to supercede sentiments like "but she works hard."
