Site Update

Since a lot of us are artists and this is an artist community, I want you guys to know about this.

About a week ago, Adobe suffered a massive hacking breach, where hackers gained access to over 150 million (estimated) usernames, emails, and passwords. Adobe is the company that puts out Photoshop, and a lot of us use it.

You should take the time to change all of your passwords on any site you might use if you have been an Adobe customer. LastPass has a free service that lets you check to see if your e-mail was on Adobe's servers, thus your information could have been compromised in the attack.

My email was on the list, so I needed to go change all my passwords. Please be sure you're safe and change all of yours too, because 150 million people compromised could include you and your friends.

"Adobe's database was hacked on ***October 3***, impacting an estimated 150 million Adobe users. Here's a simple way to see if you're affected."

Fannnnntastic. I wouldn't necessarily take LastPass' word for it though - they are a business not associated with Adobe. Information can be found at the source here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-alert.html

Uh, maybe a dumb question, but what would happen if we don't change our passwords? That seems a big hassle to me, and I don't care if I get junk mail or whatever...

I don't think much of this last pass thing I only used it once for Photoshop trail. Said I was on list but just recently change all passwords for the month so good luck. The trail was over a year ago.

Mine was too and the password on my Adobe account [which was for vo-tech] used a different password so my account locked when they tried to get in. Hurray for security questions. Changed the password anyway to be on the safe side

Haha. Yahoo made me change my password 2 days ago because it was breached. So. now I know how it was. Good thing the password to my email is unique to my email.
