The Apple Festival is in season!
The Phoenix Tree is dropping Flaming Apples for the month of September.
Flaming Apples are quite useful in their own right as they yield BP and a chance at a custom making item. However, if you're feeling competitive, you can turn in your Flaming Apples at the Apple Festival.
At the end of September, the top ten winners of the Apple Festival will get a Bottled Starlight and a PSD use of an apple-themed Lunaris made by Soul. The top player who has donated the most apples to the festival will also receive an apple-themed Xaoc designed by Soul.
Please note that the Apple Festival is officially replacing the double BP event as it produces a lot of BP.

Don't see how this will yield close to the same amount as a double BP event, so I am a little disappointed.. considering I cant sell from my spares currently :P but lets give it a go and see lol
My first apple only yielded 25K and if you can only pick once a day there wont be much BP coming from this compared to a double BP event.

Sorry - I don't consider this an acceptable replacement. I know most people will disagree with me and I don't really care anymore.
It is not right to promise something and then back out of it. Which is essentially what is being done.

I am sorry but for me this is a total disappointment. It is a cute event but not something to replace the double BP event that we were promised to LAST FOR A WEEK. In an hour of Rainforest I can easily make 1m BP, which would have meant 2m BP. Which apple is gonna give me 2m BP per hour? >_>
Also, there was no flaming apple event last year. I was there.

especially considering, that the double BP event wouldn't have even been NEEDED had the servers been kept up-to-date and maintained to keep up with the site growth in the first place.

Yeah, not at all happy with the BP week being replaced by a low bp payout from random chance apples. I was planning on that PROMISED WEEK to recover the many millions I lost from the downtime, and the millions MORE I lost whenever more scripts were run since it deleted my on hand bp EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
So no, this is NOT going to come anywhere close to getting me back what I had rightfully EARNED the first time!
Very not happy to see this.

yet, somehow I knew that something like this was going to happen, since it seems to be a regular occurance. Guess I shoulda known better than to think that this time a promise made might actually be kept.

I'd tell you if I knew, but only someone who can access the site code directly would have that information, or what's gathered by polling user results.
