I read a lot of books, but my all time favorite has got to be Jack London's "The Call of the Wild". I keep re-reading it every couple of years, and enjoy it every time. :)

Favorite book? Now that is a tricky question~. My favorite old classic is Watership Down by Richard Adams. It's dramatic and exciting and very unique. As far as the past few years go, that would have to be Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Again, this one is very unique and creative, and I also can't wait for the sequel. Reading this book got me through the death of someone very close to me. My current summer read now that I finished Monstrous Regiment is one I've been meaning to read for a very long time; Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. And on that topic, I recommend anything he's written but especially the Discworld books featuring the character of Death and also (quite highly) Wee Free Men. MR was great fun too and was also part of Discworld. Happy reading!

The best book I've read in a while is The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Yes, she's also the author of the Twilight Saga, but really, you can't compare one with the other.
The Host is very different from anything I've read so far, as it features some kind of alien invasion but not in a monster battle kind of way, despite being about the conflict between the species... It's a charged with a variety of emotions, which is probably what I liked most. It actually makes you feel the protagonist's fear/frustration/sadness/happiness.

I'm pretty fond of the H.I.V.E series. With a name that stands for "The Higher Institute of Villainous Education", how could I not like it. It's a story about a bunch of young villians in training, basically, and this evil dude named Overlord. Pretty good series. For teens but I don't care.

Today also happened to be Singapore's National Day! So cool to be sharing a day together. XD Hmm I would have to say... The Shopaholic series are pretty nice. Or Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus which helps us in understanding ourselves and the opposite gender more. XD

I have a very large library. I love to read. My favorite kind of books are those with lots of books to a series, that way the book 'never ends.'
My favorite book series is the Anita Blake series by Laurel K Hamilton. It's a crazy series with almost 30 books in the series. **Disclaimer: This is an ADULT series with lots of sex and dirty words** :P

Homeland (The Dark Elf Trilogy #1) by R.A. Salvatore. I first found out about this book and series from my father, and he told me about it because it was his favorite book. Now, my dad doesn't read a lot. Not because he dislikes books, but because he usually doesn't have the patience for it. So, I was curious, he insisted, and so I decided to read it.
And I liked it. I can't quite narrow it down to any one thing, but it's just a really great books and series. READ IT.

I have also read a ton of books, and I doubt I'll ever stop. I love reading all kinds of fantasy related books, lord of the rings, stephen king's dark tower, wheel of time, to name just a few series. Once book, that I really really liked, was this: "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton. It has a bit of fantasy, a bit of mystery.. a bit of love too. It's just a bit of a lot of different things, and for that very well put together. The story combines the fates of three women. I really enjoyed reading it and I have recommended it to others and they liked it too.

I have quite a few 'favorite' books, but not one of them has struck me like the 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. Of course, this could simply be because I read this novel at such a fairly young age, when I was very easily imprint-able by written works... However, it is an amazing read, and probably on the school reading lists and pressed on the memories of just about everyone (at least in my country). This novel was striking in it's details of a future utopia, details that twisted my (very desensitized) stomach. Even my favorite character was filled with flaws inflicted by the strange world around them, with their frightening social system and the sorrow that comes from not being the normal expected of them. This, imprinted on my young mind, quickly caused me to formulate views and opinions on evidences found between the lines in novels, which I contribute to my success in literature circles (and debate) while I was in high-school. This book caused me to love formulating ideas, a trait I cherish. :3
Of course, my OTHER favorite novel (one that I have read more recently, though still a couple of years ago) is from Kurt Vonnegut. I love this author, in all seriousness. Anything this writer puts on paper is a masterpiece, I swear. Who doesn't love a good work of satire? This one would of course be Slaughterhouse Five. Though all of his other books are just as amazing, and I actually like Kurt Vonnegut as a writer the best out of any writer I have meticulously read the novels of.
Other notable-mentions include my third and fourth favorites:
-1984 by George Orwell. (A great book about a dystopia; 'Big Brother is watching you.")
-The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. (Wow, I love this author as well! His books are all so imaginative and realistic in description... Simply divine.)
Of course, I also like books that have less of a face-slapping message, but more fantasy, the Harry Potter series is a 'Well duh' series, because quite a number of us grew up on them, including myself. The Percy Jackson series was a staple in my young teen life, and I adored tons of different fantasy series, more than I could probably count, because reading is one of those enjoyable things in my life that I adore to do near-constantly. Kurt Vonnegut probably would have won out if I had read his books when I was more imprint-able, but those did, indeed, come later in life for me. But none of those struck as hard and as early as Brave New World, the reason that I became interested in less 'high fantasy-like' novels and more into other forms of writing.

Oh gods. Favorite book? Yeah, right. No way I could pick. BUT. I'll give you a few ;p
1. Trickster's Choice - Its actually a later series within the timeline by the artist Tamora Pierce, but its my favorite within the timeline, and you don't need to have read the others to understand whats going on. I love how clever and snarky the main character is. And you can't go wrong with spies, gods, and crows!
2. The Golden One - By Deborah Chester. Its a little bit of a strange set of characters, but the author does an amazing job of describing the world, and drawing you into the scene. The characters are well rounded and interesting. The second book in the series (the crimson claw) is actually my favorite (by far), but it doesn't make any sense unless you've read the first book in the series.
3. Tithe is also quite a fun read. Filled with evil faeries and magic.
