Hey, what's up?
I'm excited to announce that our original pet artist redrew our Vyne!! Now it matches the other pets ... wooooo! :)
Obviously, this is going to require some recolors. We have set up a thread where you can submit recolors of the vynes on the new lineart. If your recolor is high quality and accepted by BJ, you'll not only receive a copy of the vyne but 2 GP to go along with it.
Also, the vyne at the top is the Gold Tipped Lotus Vyne. Ten of these will be released on the site - post your favorite thing about the new vyne to try for one of these Gold Tipped Lotuses!

My single -which was difficult to narrow down- favorite part of this new Vyne has to be the overall line art itself. While the added details to it, such as the leaves on the tail, are superb, I can't get over how much of a flowing effect this line art. The lines are nice a crisp, and the way the hair, tail, and head antenna (?) gives a very elegant, flowing sensation. For the Vyne, being plant-based in some way, this fits perfectly- just like a flower blowing in the breeze. The older line art seemed a bit more stiff, and while still beautiful, this "flowing" line art reminds me more of a plant as the Vyne should. Even the neck spines and claws seem to have a certain flow to them, and with their thinner appearance remind me of certain flowers that have small spines around them.

My favorite thing about this Vyne is that it brings something to the table that we didn't already have. The old Vynes were like "Hey, it's a Melo, just also plants! WOW!" Now, Vynes are truly their own species~ Also, the new ones know how many quickenings there are to the nearest molton, and that's always a plus.

Thank you so much for redesigning the vyne. The previous design, cute, but simple, was also fairly clunky and akward. I watch in anticipation as you release new pictures for the vynes. I beg of you to post them in the news, because it might be small news but it is great news and I want to celebrate each new image with everyone. I know a lot of people avoid the vyne due to them not being as comfortable feeling as others, and I hope this brings more vyne lovers together. That being said, a lot of the color plans for the old vynes were great, but with the new shape, and a bit smoother blending, I'm excited to see what you make. Thank you again.

OOPS ... in my over exuberance I just posted how much I love them before I actually read about the post our favorite thing *blushes* . While there are several things that I think really brings harmony and balance to the new line art... my favorite thing is the expression. It lends it personality and character and makes you wonder what is behind that smirk.

my favorite thing is the way its sitting, and the fact that it just looks way more realistic.
vynes have always been my favorite pets, but now...just...wow.

The shading/highlights- they're absolutely perfect. <3 It really seems to make the colors a lot more vivid and just POP more then the old one, which I think is important, since plants are some of the brightest things in nature. :)

Oh man! The LIFE in that new Vyne! x3 They are my favourite Aywas and the redraw only seals that even more!
My favourite thing about this new baby? That almost-but-not-quite smirk :3 That coupled with the sly backward glance without turning it's head is just screaming for me to catch it but it sure as heck is gonna make me work for it xD
