Hey, what's up?
I'm excited to announce that our original pet artist redrew our Vyne!! Now it matches the other pets ... wooooo! :)
Obviously, this is going to require some recolors. We have set up a thread where you can submit recolors of the vynes on the new lineart. If your recolor is high quality and accepted by BJ, you'll not only receive a copy of the vyne but 2 GP to go along with it.
Also, the vyne at the top is the Gold Tipped Lotus Vyne. Ten of these will be released on the site - post your favorite thing about the new vyne to try for one of these Gold Tipped Lotuses!

Those teeth make me feel very....er...safe. o.o;; It looks less like an innocent little flower and more like a venus fly trap. I feel like this is a pet I can have a conversation about tasteless jelly with. I actually only like a few Vynes, since I'm not exactly a vegetarian. I prefer my noms/pets with a little more meat, if you know what I mean. But there are a few amazing colors that I'm proud to have.

I love that the 'hair'/head parts look like the petals of a half-closed rose/carnation. Generally when you think 'flower' you get the flat petals, but the thicker ones look fantastic here.

The new Vyne is just simply amazing! 8D I love all of the detail around its rear; so much more realistic than it was. The flowers really stand out a lot. The pose is very lively making it seem more alive and ready for anything. And the expression is just adorable! <3 It looks like it's going to get itself into some sort of trouble.

I couldn't sleep tonight, and I was wondering why nothing seems to get better no matter how hard I try.
I went to the news page, and there was this Gold Tipped Lotus Vyne. It sat there seeming to look at me from the corner of its eye. I noted the way its paws and muzzle seemed bathed in sunlight, and it reminded me of the sunrise tomorrow. It was so beautiful that it made me smile, even when I was feeling so down I thought it wasn't possible to do so. It's lovely golden tips and color, the beautiful blue eyes and flowers...it reminded me of why I should be happy and thankful to be alive. No matter how bad things may seem, the sun will rise tomorrow. It may be winter now, but when spring comes there will be flowers. No matter how bad you feel, or how bad things get, there are still things that are able to make you smile. What I love about this Vyne is that it reminded me of this. Thank you Slash and BJ, for reminding me that at least here, on Aywas, I can smile. :3

Maybe this is a weird artist thing, but I love the section where the back leg joins the rest of the body. The extra folds there give the impression of loose skin, which makes it look more lifelike, and gives it a smooth skin texture. You can tell that this thing actually has guts inside it now.
I also like how the paws show a clear wrist/ankle joint.

Vynes have been my favorite pet since I began on Aywas and I absolutely adore the new design to them - it keeps to their original style while making them seem more majestic and mischievous =3 I adore the expression and the colors on the Gold Tipped Lotus, but my favorite part is the eyes; the multiple colors within them make them seem very mystical.
