Figured I would newspost this since it's important and I have something else to report to make a valid announcement.
Raised the price of Fertility Potions from 8 to 12 GP, because there's near 1/3 of LBC breedings assigned out with them used currently, and I feel that they need a price raise to compensate with the GP in the system. They seem very easy to get and are used really often, and artists are having a hard time keeping up.
Any future price changes will be announced, but please understand the change keeps up with demand and queue load.
Scratchcard coin wins no longer give out gold Breeding Coins, only Metal Breeding Coins now. This was not to give an unfair advantage to people or anything, it was simply because BCs were meant to be a donation/rare contest privilege... and we'd like to keep it that way.
If you want to comment on this newspost I'll leave it open, but please comment appropriately and don't be disrespectful. If you only intend to rant there are appropriate forums, but if you have constructive commentary you can voice it. Nothing we admins ever do is to directly hurt users or make the game impossible, it's always to balance it and make it fair with compromising and suggestions when needed.

I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get my hands on a BC (or even a LBC for that matter).
I guess I'll just make customs.

never got a coin from scratchers anyway, so I guess I wont have a chance to miss it. also never used a fertility pot ... so again no big to me sux for those that breed often with them.

I am ok (somewhat) with the raise of fert.potion prices.But taking BCs off the scratchcards really irks me.That was pretty much the only way for user who cant afford BCs to be lucky and win one.In all my time here I won a grand total of 1(!) BC and it seems to win them is rare enough.Maybe you should think it over again.
I love breeding.I do,everyone knows it.But lately it was just too much for us breeders.Too much of "we raised this we raised that".Give us a break please.This was the newspost that finally ruined it for me,I will decrease my number of breedings massively and by this the RL money I spend here.I dont know if this change is really what we needed...

PS-I love some of the solutions that were given above.I indeed thought as well that it was RANDOM which coins to give out...maybe we could just change it to that and randomize the whole thing?

Hm, I thought I got a random breeding coin from the scratchcards, and I think those are fun prizes. I'm just still hoping to get mine from my win on July 8th XD

I agree with the MBC but not with the Fert potion. It's your choice, but I'm not agreeing with the very big price hike.

i understand the fertility potion, though it stinks. people who breed for profit can make a killing using it.
but the scratchcard i was very disappointed with. i saw nothing wrong with getting a random breeding coin package as a prize. i got lucky ONE time, out of like a year of playing scratchcards.

To note, since I'm not sure if anyone had, but I really dislike the idea that people shouldn't be upset about the scratchcards because it was free. No, it wasn't free. I've been working hard getting scratchcards all 3 times a day, spending who knows how much BP to get one. Right now, that is the only prize really worth it in my opinion (EXP is still linked to explore, food and random items are usually dump worthy). So now, I probably won't do the cards unless that changes because it wouldn't be worth it now. So yes, some people do work for it. Was that the wisest way of getting a coin, not really. But it was also fun, so that made it worth it. So please, keep that in mind when you say that we shouldn't be upset because "it's free, it's not like you worked for it or had a goal."

Sometimes I just think the problem is not enough artists. The rate of hiring a new artist is much less than the growing userbase. You can't fault the userbase for that. But time and time again that is what it seems like. (With the LBPs, which I STILL don't agree with since I do my own predicts.) I'm sorry that theres not enough artists. Even I'm too scared to apply. But this site is growing. While an inflation seems reasonable, even while I disagree with it on a predict making standpoint, the official breeders STILL get paid more for making that extra baby. Maybe you need to encourage more artists to apply instead, iunno?

Strange,I always thought that it was a random BC. When I won my BC I thought I was just super lucky. XD
