Site Update
Figured I would newspost this since it's important and I have something else to report to make a valid announcement.
Raised the price of Fertility Potions from 8 to 12 GP, because there's near 1/3 of LBC breedings assigned out with them used currently, and I feel that they need a price raise to compensate with the GP in the system. They seem very easy to get and are used really often, and artists are having a hard time keeping up.
Any future price changes will be announced, but please understand the change keeps up with demand and queue load.
Scratchcard coin wins no longer give out gold Breeding Coins, only Metal Breeding Coins now. This was not to give an unfair advantage to people or anything, it was simply because BCs were meant to be a donation/rare contest privilege... and we'd like to keep it that way.
If you want to comment on this newspost I'll leave it open, but please comment appropriately and don't be disrespectful. If you only intend to rant there are appropriate forums, but if you have constructive commentary you can voice it. Nothing we admins ever do is to directly hurt users or make the game impossible, it's always to balance it and make it fair with compromising and suggestions when needed.

I think the idea someone else suggested about having the cards give out random coins (the range excluding PBCs and BCs) would be a good way to go. Different rarities of coins would have corresponding chances of being the coin won, and that way the breedings from scratchcard winnings would be spread out over the breeding queues. At the same time, users have a chance of getting an LBC or EBC or whatever their favourite flavour is, meaning they would still have a reason to scratch their cards instead of selling them, and you could even include RBCs and DBCs in the pool of possible coins to win, which would help even more with the queues.

I can agree with this, honestly, I know it took me a long time to get my scc's but it was well worth the wait and I have been a member for a few years before I got one. I think the game would be too easy if things didn't get tweaked. I know it makes things harder but that is the point of a game. And for someone like me who makes my gp by doing commissions or selling things in my shop, I know it is hard to earn enough to get the things you want, BUT it would not be as special if it was easy. So I have no qualms with this.

I agree with randomizing the coins gotten from scratchcards, but I would leave BC in with a less than %1 chance of getting them. Give the newbs some hope I say.
And I totally agree with the ferts. There was just too many used in the breedings. A MBC only fert might actually be good, but only make it somewhat cheaper. Maybe 8-10gp. -Michi

Interesting change. I have a question-site contests, buying them for real world money or selling items for GP are the only ways to make GP on the site right now, yes? Is there any way that the site is going to be making other ways for players to make GP? For me at least, I rarely even bother to collect BP anymore and most of my focus, when I want to buy something, is on GP.

Everyone joined the site as a newbie at some point. I worked hard to get where I am; and for the most part, pricing has changed very little. There are plenty of ways to earn GP on this site--get creative somehow (and it doesn't have to be restricted to art)--or there is the option of donating; because websites cost real money to run and that income has to come from somewhere (especially if us users don't want ads all over the sidebars).
@Alichino: As much as I agree with your comment, the breeding artists are just regular users who apply for the job. If people aren't applying, have demanding IRL jobs, school, or can't spend the time for some other reason, they don't or they back out of the position. They're also paid in GP, which adds to the amount of GP in the system. *shrug*
No, I'm not thrilled with the changes because I use these items; but I understand the need for the inflation--so I'm not going to get upset about it. *shrug*

-looks @ the scratchcards I bought to try for a BC- LOL I guess I can't get a refund from those I bought from. -giggles- I hope we see some contests to win some soon. As for the Fert. Pots I can only say hopefully when they are not used so much in queues, we can see a drop back in price? Thanks for the updates and keep up the good work breeding team! Knock them queue down! <3

I feel the need to say something. I have to agree with the way things are going.
All the ques are back up. Even if you have predicts can be a month or so before you get babies or a message asking you to fix a predict. I remember my first breeding. With no predict only took a month. Breeding is on the rise. With the pendents makes even more demand of the team. I understand the need to get things back to a manageable way.
Though with the price of MBC I fear this might drive the que for them even higher and higher.
I know this might and is up setting in away but I think we all need to think about the whole site and the people that run it. Can't let thing get worse and right now breeding in my mind is out for control in all the ques. (I have not helped it any with breeding I have in que either).
I think working harder for things is not completely bad. Just makes you happier when you get it.

Also, Eri mentioned that a flat MBC was the answer to the queue wait time in the forums.
