The Art Gallery has been updated with some new winners:

They won:

Some new themes have been added too:
October 2nd - October 9th: Breeding on Aywas
October 9th - October 16th: NPCs
October 16th - October 23rd: Gift Art (draw someone's custom)
October 23rd - October 30th: Halloween*

For the 16th - 23rd Art Gallery, you should put the pet's image, ID, name, and owner on the image too :)

Don't forget the Story Game updates every Friday, even if it's not news posted.

Bank CDs have been tweaked to address the inflation of BP caused by the amount of return coming from CDs. Hopefully you will all find these changes fair.

1. The original 7-day CD was changed into a 14-day CD, and its return changed to 2%
2. The 30-day CD's return was changed to 6%
3. The max one can invest into the top three CDs is now 50,000,000 BP
4. A new CD was added, 7-day, with a 5% return rate and a max investment of 1,000,000.
5. The largest CD, the 90-day CD, did not have its return rate changed, but rather the others were changed to scale according to it.

The GP CDs were not changed.

@cruci- i suppose i just don't think that the things that draw people in to the site (breeding, etc) should be restricted to those who can just buy GP, people who can draw really well, and those who spend all of their time on this site. shouldn't casual players get the fun parts too?

@Cruci - It WAS hard work before, as I mentioned. Saving everything, selling so many things I loved and wanted to keep, scraping together every penny... I have completely suspended normal gameplay in order to reach my goal. I've stopped doing the things I love doing on Aywas in order to save all my money for an SCC. I can suck it up and do that for a few months, but a few years? It would just take away the gameplay experience for me. Aywas wouldn't be fun anymore. The old CDs gave users like me a chance to reach for greatness, to actually accomplish an impossible-seeming goal. Now with the goal seeming impossible again, what hope do I have of reaching it?

I can't draw, I can't spend IRL money, I can't explore, and now I can't do CDs. The only viable way of making money I have right now consists of doing my dailies and making even more sacrifices, like selling off my beloved customs and items that I wanted to use.

Wow....so much grumbling about losing an easy way to make money. This is done to help the aywas community/economy as a whole and all people can do is think about themselves. There are still many other ways to make bp. Oh you can't draw, buy gp, explore for an hour....umm then perhaps you have the wrong hobby? Sorry to sound harsh but its true.

Yeah, this was basically what we lived off of, was interest from our CD's....But I absolutely agree with this change being needed. I don't see getting tons of BP for totally FREE every single week as EARNING BP. No, it involves no work at all to throw bp into a CD and get free money off of it. It is LAZY. This is why we did it. ;) I think people were just so spoiled ever since this feature was released, now that they aren't getting so much free, un earned BP, hands are in the air crying NOT FAIR NOT FAIR- No, whats not fair, is that we were close to getting 50MIL A WEEK FOR DOING NOTHING. It sucks for us, definitely. But I'm glad for the changes. Glad I've started investing in GP CD's. (Although, I believe the 3 month CD should be changed to reflect on the 1 month CD, that one still makes no sense that you earn more for a shorter time.)

I've only used the CD feature about...twice. I don't necessarily use it to gain more BP as I think the interests for it is a little bit iffy... I always do my dailies, play the Grave flash game when I can, rarely explore because I don't have the time, and my main way of making BP AND GP is selling lots of stuff now. And if the price of BP per GP goes up, I'll just have to adjust. I just...I'm kinda neutral on this change. Lol. Hopefully it will help the Aywas economy/community somehow. Also, it would be great to get a little warning on future changes sometimes...Just saying.

@Sol - Uh, Aywas isn't a hobby. :/ It's a game, somewhere I go to relax, unwind, and have fun. I don't WANT it to be a hobby, I want it to be a fun game. I don't think that games should cut significantly into a person's REAL-LIFE hobbies and activities, and it's a lot harder to have fun when there's only so much you can do with what little time and money you have.

games are supposed to be fun, i thought. how will this change make the game more fun? idk about you, but i don't find exploring to be particularly enthralling, and i can't really draw too well because my hands just won't do that, and i'm not rich like you apparently are. what does that leave?
