The Art Gallery has been updated with some new winners:

October 2nd - October 9th: Breeding on Aywas

October 16th - October 23rd: Gift Art (draw someone's custom)
October 23rd - October 30th: Halloween*
For the 16th - 23rd Art Gallery, you should put the pet's image, ID, name, and owner on the image too :)
Don't forget the Story Game updates every Friday, even if it's not news posted.
Bank CDs have been tweaked to address the inflation of BP caused by the amount of return coming from CDs. Hopefully you will all find these changes fair.
1. The original 7-day CD was changed into a 14-day CD, and its return changed to 2%
2. The 30-day CD's return was changed to 6%
3. The max one can invest into the top three CDs is now 50,000,000 BP
4. A new CD was added, 7-day, with a 5% return rate and a max investment of 1,000,000.
5. The largest CD, the 90-day CD, did not have its return rate changed, but rather the others were changed to scale according to it.
The GP CDs were not changed.

I've been here for 2 years now, and I'm a casual player - I'm at college most of the time so Aywas was always something to do in my spare time with my Vettie. All I've wanted is to get my own custom. I've saved up since I've started (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away :P), to try and get a BCC pet designed for me. I wouldn't say I'm rich, but I wouldn't say I'm poor - I've only recouped the cost of my MCC pet Scythe a few months ago. I understand the changes to the CDs - they were always slightly strange and very good value. Apart from grumbling about adding more rules and making it appear more complicated, this will affect casual players the most.
I just guess I'll have to save more for my dream pet.

Well shoot. :/ Now it looks like my goal of raising enough money for an SCC has gone out the window. With CDs, I had a chance of saving enough to get one with enough scraping and saving and selling and investing every penny over several months, but now, with completely useless CDs... I might as well give up now. The CDs were the bulk of my money-raising, all I have now is explore and dailies, and as a poor University student with five classes, loads of homework, a dance production, a job, and several clubs, explore just isn't a viable option for me.
Like others have said, I can make 50k a day off of games and explore and dailies, why would I want to get the same amount of money over a week?
Looks like it's going to take me a few years to get my SCC, instead of several months. :/ Dreams, out the window.

this sucks... i only have 10 mil, and this is going to make it WAY harder to be able to afford anything in a sustainable way, especially if you're going to artificially raise the prices of things like breeding coins. i have stuff to do other than click "explore" over and over. please stop acting like this site is the only thing any of us have in our lives, because it really really isn't. one of the things i liked most about this site was that BP wasn't that hard to get, but there are tons of things that are actually WORTH spending a chunk of money on. now money is harder to get and the prices of the things i want to buy only seem to be going up... what's the point?

I'll miss the amount of BP I was getting from 7-day, 1 mil CDs... This might deflate BP, I dunno, but one DEFINITE effect will be people able to spend less BP. And yeah, not to throw a tantrum or anything, I'll just have to be more careful about the BP I spend, lol.

So I'm kind of an idiot -- I just realized that there IS a 7 day, 1 mil BP CD option! Which is, coincidentally, the amount of BP I was making before. Thanks. :3

But aren't dreams supposed to be things that you work towards, that take a fair amount of time and that make you feel awesome after you've finally achieved them? I don't mean to offend anyone but I simply cannot comprehend all the grumbling surrounding this CD change.
Even with all the BP sinks, there is quite a bit of BP in circulation, and CDs were only making this amount increase every single day, inflating prices and influencing the economy in a negative way. Yes, you needed an initial investment to wield profitable results, but after that first time, it was basically making BP out of thin air. How is this right?
I'm a casual player, have earned about 3mil BP since I came back from my hiatus months ago, and even I see that this change was for the good, not the bad.

Okay- so effectively, if I have 200million I can invest to get interest in the CDs- now you're limiting me to earning the same amount of interest that someone who only has 50million can earn? How is that fair?
If your bank in real life did that, would you just say okay & keep banking with them? I think not.
I worked my fanny off to get the BP, and I should be free to invest whatever I have if I choose to to earn interest. Not happy with this at all.
