Neura Contest Results

Here are the results of the Neura Contest!
Will there be Neuras made available on Lunaris Day? ...perhaps.
Category One: Art
There were a TON of really amazing drawings in the thread. However, the one I decided to choose as winner is:

I think it represented the theme in a great, unique way -- and the quality of the entry is great too. It really brought together Lunarii, Serruls, and Neuras in a excellent way.
Category Two: Biology
Again, there were a lot of really great entries. It was really hard to pick from them - some were really informal like diary observation entries, some were like research papers (even cited, which I enjoyed), and others like textbooks. Ultimately, I chose this entry, by Kestrel (#6580). I just loved the detail she included, and the little diagrams.
Category Three: Custom
It's always tough to just choose one custom when a whole lot of very talented people enter into the category. Ultimately, I went along with this one:
Saturn (#497)'s entry is a great combination of excellent coloring, editing, and texturing. The theme behind it is really neat too - the neura is the king of the universe, greater than all Lunarii.
Category Four: Story
Melzor (#14564) put forth an excellent story on this page of the thread that dealt with a Lunaris coming from another universe. The Lunaris meets a Serrul on a new planet -- and of course, complications arise. It's especially cute because it starts as a story being told to children while also integrating a diary sort of format. Read it to see what happens!
Category Five: Plush
Hands down, Erienne & Dew (#17)'s submission was simply fantastic! Only taking a look at the entry is needed to see why it won. :) It looks downright professional, with great form and details!
Category Six: T-Shirt
Dellessanna (#96)'s excellent entry won this category! The Neura is really well drawn, and the colors chosen complement it very well.
Congratulations to everyone! Again, there were a TON of excellent entries. Winners, feel free to send along the images and pet IDs of the Lunaris and Serrul you'd like bred together.
We have an Art Gallery feature coming up, it just needs to be uploaded, so if you have any aywas-related artwork, start saving it! You'll be able to get rare items and SP from it :)

Lunaris Day

You guys had a lot of fun on Vion Day. So why don't we have a Lunaris day? The Lunaris was released on the 15th of May -- and that's coming up soon.
Submit anything Lunaris related - colorations, drawings, graphics, writings, etc - to this thread for Lunaris day. The coolest stuff will be rewarded with Lunaris-related prizes. Everyone will get some participation gift of GP, SP, or an item if they submit something with effort :)
If you submit a coloration, it might be released for Lunaris Day! (:

Quil Lineart and New HA Items
Items
First: We have a new alternate lineart for you. It's an alternate Quil.
You can get the alternate quil by obtaining a Quil Stone. Quil Stones come free when you purchase a package of $45 or more on the Purchase GP page. Click the Quil image to go to the Alternate Pet Linearts thread.
Please keep in mind that alternate Quils can only breed with other alternate Quils, and regular lineart quils cannot be submitted using a Quil Stone.
I have also added some new HA items after going through the requests you guys posted regarding what kind of basic clothes we're missing. We have more coming too in the next few weeks!

Updated Custom Rules!
Rules
LIONFISH COMMANDS YOU TO LOOK AT THESE SHINY UPDATED RULES.
Still needs some tweaking in regards to formatting and such, but the important parts are there! All in one place, and fully updated. The link in the navigation bar will be modified to redirect to this thread soon. Now nobody has any excuse not to know what the custom rules are. :P
We are also taking this opportunity to roll out two new rule updates in regards to customs.
Items are now allowed, meaning you no longer need a SCC to make a pet holding a piece of fruit or a ball or something. Keep in mind, however, that the rules disallowing minipets and backgrounds are still in effect and unchanged.
Silver Species now are allowed up to 30% edit room while still being LBC breedable, as opposed to the original 10%. This should give you some more freedom to add edit variety to your Silver Species. :) Have fun making Silvers!
Also, here's another one of those news mini-contests: at 11:59 PM on the 26th, 20 random people who commented on this news post will receive a Spring Maned Lionfish. :)

Gourmet Cooking
New Feature
I've installed some recipes in the now-functional gourmet cooking.
(You will want to select "Pick own recipe" for a choice of menu items)
First, the eight new gourmet foods:
And lastly, there's a Random Lunaris Potion you can brew with Chaos's help:
To make this item, you'll need some r100 flowers that were just added to Explore. Note, we may retire this item from the Gourmet Cooking game if it proves too easy to get.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Currently, only Master level pets can cook a Gourmet recipe, but we will expand recipes to include the other cooking skill levels in the future
- A high score list for eaten gourmet foods will go up in May, so if you want a jump start in cooking up point-worthy gourmet foods, knock yourself out
- The "cheating" cooking items, like Amorphous Ingredient and TV Dinner do not work with Gourmet. Why? Because Chaos is watching you a lot closer now. |: He does not approve of you putting glowing radioactive sludge in your foods.
- Some of the recipes might be a little derpy, but we still need some basic ingredients released onsite XD So feel free to laugh at my recipes... as sometimes they make little sense, haha.
Enjoy the game. I would like to add new gourmet foods and new potions to this game sometime soon. However I don't really have any ideas for what new potions could do. Do you?

But equally as important...
Happy Birthday Dew (#17)!!!
If you don't know Dew, you should! He's the other half of #17, Erienne and Dew. You may not hear from him a lot, but he's a site artist who does a lot of behind the scenes sort of amazing work. For example, he made some of our donation/charity pets, like the Oil Destruction Ryba:
He also does a lot of flash game artwork. Point is, Dew is a really amazing admin and deserves appreciation that he simply hasn't been getting.
So, to show my appreciation, I have some today-only HA clothing sets releasing into the Exotic Cloths shop:
Aztec Set, because Dew really likes Aztec stuff:
And an African Wild Dog set, because that's one of his favorite animals:
And a couple of special foods that will be in the Energy Dishes shop:
These items will be RETIRED after today (: But they are fairly cheap and stocking unlimited, so grab as many as you want.
