Our newest user spotlight is...
Graymare (#14978)
Graymare is making a name for themselves for their pleasant personality, supplying constructive criticism when requested and contributing designs to the site pet submissions forum. Graymare is also one of the numerous users that often frequent the help forums, but in addition to being well informed and answering questions on site they are also helping to update the user-made Aywas Wiki.
As user spotlight winner, we bred together these pets for Graymare:

BP Shop Items
Items
These two items, the Bronze Custom Crystal and Metal Hybrid Crystal have snuck into the BP Shop, if you need something to spend your BP on. :) Metal Hybrid CC will leave the shop in a week.
We have also decided to allow you to submit unedited Chiro designs via the Bronze CC, so that should help you with your hybrid breedings.
Don't forget that the Breeding Coins go out of the shop tomorrow at midnight (when the 9th starts) and won't come back for another three months -- July 2011! So grab whatever ones you need to last you :)

Brushes, Google Images, Copyright, and You

Do you like making customs and custom designs? Make sure you're doing it legally.
Brushes/patterns from the internet CANNOT BE USED on an aywas image unless:
- it requires no credit
- it is allowed for commercial purposes
- you list EVERY BRUSH you use under the design in a "brushes/images used" section of your pet's profile, along with a link to the rules of the brush, and keep record of that on your pet forever
Google images or patterns you get off the internet CANNOT BE USED on an aywas image unless:

Using images that do not belong to you and you do not have permission to use is THEFT and ILLEGAL. If you do it, we will ban you. So don't do it.
When in doubt, message a moderator with a link to your image/pattern/brush's rules and they will let you know if you can use it.
Suspicious that someone might be using an image without permission? Contact a moderator with a link to the thread.
If a moderator approaches you asking for information about your images, you are required to yield where you got the images from. If you made the image yourself, you are required to show progress layers that prove you are the original artist of the image. Be sure to keep them so you don't have any problems.
Aywas takes art theft very seriously, as we are an art community. We are cracking down on it, and there will be no hand-slapping for thieves.

Site Update
Just a quick update to let you all know that Half a Lesser Breeding Coins have been removed from all site shops until further notice. This is in response to the fact that they are overrunning the queue, and we think it's best if they're 'retired' for now.
If you still own one, you are welcome to use it but they will no longer be stocking as an item on the main site. Metal Breeding Coins are going to function as the 'BP-coin of choice' for those that want to spend BP, not GP, on coins regularly. If you need to breed normally otherwise, simply continue to use LBCs.
We're sorry for the frustration this causes, but we hope that in the long-run it'll stop the queue from building up as massively as it has.

Also want to edit to say that from now on, if you have inquiries/questions about breeding stuff, or questions for me in general, send them to [email protected] instead of PMing me.
My private messages can be used for general discussion, but pertinent questions should go to the above email. Be sure to include your on-site username and user ID when emailing. The reasoning for this is that an email address will have more capability for organization and I won't lose important messages as easily (I get like 1 page of messages every 3 days). I didn't want to make a whole new news post for this, so just keep it in mind!

Easter Egg Field
New Feature
The Easter Egg Field will open up starting April 17th and will stay open until April 30th. Yasu also has another Easter feature planned.
On the Easter Egg Field, you'll be able to grab eggs and leave eggs...but to grab an egg, you must leave an egg! There are minimum rarity and BP requirements for eggs, so hopefully everything you pick up will be nice.
Admins will be leaving site generated easter eggs too, containing special Easter pets and rare items, including a pendant or two on Easter... ;)
