Earthquake!

Site Update

There was an earthquake!

Where is it? In real life - and it affected Japan and the neighboring areas. Donate $25.00 or more to any charity of your choice to help Japan and those who were affected, then send the receipt to me via email along with your aywas ID - [email protected] - and you will receive a Fossil Egg.

Here's a few possible places you can donate.

Even if you can't donate the full amount, please try to donate something - if you donate $10 or more, you are eligible for an onsite (virtual item) Kaz Plush. Whatever you do have the ability to donate will help a lot of people, no matter the amount!

I'm glad I could help. I had a few friends in Sendai that I still can't get ahold of. Hopefully my donation can get them a clean blanket, a pillow, and some decent aspirin or other medications. ;; - Pande

I love that you're doing this sort of thing. I would have donated anyway, mind you. I lived in Japan for a while, and I have lots of friends there, but incentives can really make a difference, and so will any little amount people can share.

Just got paid yesterday, so I donated as much as I could once the bills were paid.

This is very kind of you, I've never seen that make people care soo much on one forum in my whole life. I'll see if I can rack up twenty-five dollars <3

Donated. It's absolutely horrific what happened, I just got done watching a video of a ship eaten by a tsunami, and you could see the wave over the trees as it came ashore, it was so high. It gave me chills because I couldn't imagine what that would be like. There was another video of a guy videotaping the quake and he showed cracks in the ground and the ground was actually moving and swaying. It was freaky. Our hearts all go out to them..

I mailed Natto-rin already, but Globalgiving.org accepts Paypal (it's one of the links in the article that Slash posted above). Last night they had a goal of $90,000, by the time I donated it was up to $175,000, and today their goal is $850,000 (with over $266,000 already given).

I'd rather give to the Japanese branch of the Red Cross, but I didn't see a Paypal option there, so if that's your only means of giving, here's your option.

(Oh, but the Red Cross has a mobile phone donating option, anyway, so check that out)

My family normally donates to the Red Cross.
Hopefully we'll do that soon. :3
