Ready to start collecting sand dollars?
You'll be using them to buy special finned pets in the Seasonal Shop. I'd suggest seeking them in the West River and the East River in the usual fashions... just makes sense, ya know?

Why not make these pets catchable only for 24 hours?
It's easy to manage to spend one hour here for everyone more than to try to catch random items.
Aywas starts becoming really unfair to a lot of users :-(

@Amagami - that's what I had been thinking as well. I leave shortly for an 8 hour work shift and I can't spend every extra minute of my time on the site so it's disappointing that it's unlikely I'll be able to find enough sand dollars to even afford one pet.

I've seen one sand dollar in both the east & west now - missed both since the merchant was charging more than I was wanting to pay.. But I did get one sand dollar from throwing bones. Trying cooking as well, to see if I can get one that way, since I saw someone got one from there.

I haven't seen a merchant for all day yesterday. Each time I went to explore. he/she never showed up. .. The monsters are not dropping items only BP. Is this a glitch or what?

Been getting random eggs and terrariums left and right, but still no sign of the elusive sand dollar. xD
