The Melo is the only remaining pet from the old art. The art itself is three years old, and has many proportion flaws.
An update would consist of:
- all new colorations occurring on the new melo base
- old lineart can be submitted for two months past the revamp completion without requiring Dawn Crystal
- existing customs have a 6-month period to convert to the new base for free
- old and new can breed together fine with LBC, where old x old = old, but old x new = new, as with all other revamps we've done
A revamp would take 1-3 months for us to complete as it is. Above is the sketch we have for our redraw melo. It is trying to be as close to the original melo proportion-wise as possible, while trying to fix some of the glaring errors on the original.
After that comes the lineart, then we start recoloring all the old colorations onto the new lineart. (: There are two ways we can go forward from here.
So, yeah. What do you want?
BTW, you can redline the sketch if you want.

We took dews basic body shape added youko's feet and tail and the smaller head. and suki's scruff :P i think its fine and very close the the melo we have to updating should be too hard :3.

Redline Comments: Don't like the paws. They're don't look right imo. And the tail wouldn't be my choice, but it looks okay like that. Probably try making the eyes look a little less... girly. It looks like it has eyelashes or something, lol. Eh, that's about all I'd change about it though. The rest of the redline looks pretty good.

Well yeah but i like the eyes facing the viewer so maybe take out the "lashes" out would look better

LOVE the tail on that new one. Not exactly keen on the front ear though ... it doesn't seem as nice as the back one.

We should make a new poll for; old melo, new melo, redlined melo. The new melo probably threw a lot of people off for that choice, but I think our redlined one might make more people willing to go through with the re-vamp. c:

Yes to a revamp, BUT ONLY IF THE REDLINED ONE IS USED. That other one has even more issues than the old lines. The redlined one still has some issues, like ear fluff not matching up, but it's loads better than that first sketch...the face is so flat on that D8 and it has no wrists, and flat feet. The redlines certainly fix those issues, though.
