Hello everyone, I hope you've been having a fantastic January so far!
I'm here to announce a small change to Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions.
Previously, users could submit a prediction and the artist of the prediction could be paid a set amount of USD through the site. Unfortunately, due to the amount of these items in circulation, and the amount of ways to obtain them, this unfortunately isn't a sustainable option for the site any longer.
We have removed the site-paid USD for Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions. In place of that, we are allowing Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions to be commissioned with no GP or USD cap from here on out.
Artists can also opt to receive a payment of 60 Credit for a TFE or Alidae prediction, this has been added to the Knowledge Base Article for those items.
We realize that this is likely not going to be a popular decision, but after looking at site finances and the amounts of these items in circulation it is not a financially viable option for us at this time.

I genuinely didn't know this was a thing, and now I'm kinda confused. These items would pay non-site artists money for creating a predict? Is there any other item that does that??? That seems very strange. I thought Aywas had site artists for these things and if someone chose to get a predict from another artist, that expense was on them. Seems like this change is just keeping status quo (and I'm really curious as to why these items were so different in the first place)

https://www.aywas.com/news/view/3424/ <- Emaia introduction, and it states that the way of paying artists was a test and only had the USD payout due to them being a USD-backed item. The commission panel wouldn't go up for trail purposes until later in the year. I'm guessing the payout probably should have been removed once the panel feature had all the bugs hammered out?

Not sure if my post just wasn't submitted, or broke some unknown rule, but I did want to express my support to this idea. Anything that helps Aywas be a bit more sustainable is all right by me. Thanks for letting us know of the change!
