Hello everyone, I hope you've been having a fantastic January so far!
I'm here to announce a small change to Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions.
Previously, users could submit a prediction and the artist of the prediction could be paid a set amount of USD through the site. Unfortunately, due to the amount of these items in circulation, and the amount of ways to obtain them, this unfortunately isn't a sustainable option for the site any longer.
We have removed the site-paid USD for Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions. In place of that, we are allowing Alidae Egg and Transitional Fossil Egg predictions to be commissioned with no GP or USD cap from here on out.
Artists can also opt to receive a payment of 60 Credit for a TFE or Alidae prediction, this has been added to the Knowledge Base Article for those items.
We realize that this is likely not going to be a popular decision, but after looking at site finances and the amounts of these items in circulation it is not a financially viable option for us at this time.

So wait - things already in queue, do they still have USD payout, or has it all been cut off immediately? I still think there should be a grace period or some sort of warning before this comes into play.

It is not retroactive. All of the predictions for those items have been processed. If you have on-site proof that you commissioned an Alidae or TFE prediction before this news post it will still be paid USD as long as the artist finishes within 30 days of accepting the commission.

Kita (#3988) Well, on-site proof for the commission I don't have... Like I said it was off-site. But most of them I wanted to make myself. One of which I wrapped up just now and a few more are in the shading phase. Some others are sketches. I could complete my WIPS in 30 days? .... Can I be my own commissioner? :x

Unfortunately we need on-site proof. You cannot be your own commissioner, that is one of the big reasons we are removing the USD payout for these items actually. They were only meant to pay other artists to complete the predictions, for people that did not/could not pay USD. The TFE and Alidae predictions were never meant to pay people to complete their own offspring.

So my breedings in queue from February 2017 are?..... And if I provide the files for predicts that are labelled in their file data as started before this news post? :o Could I at least get those?

If you have on-site proof that you commissioned them before this news post you can PM Kaiyo with it and she will make sure the previous artist payout was honored as long as the artist is finished within the 30-day commission period.
