Since it's taking forever and a day to get through the common holiday customs (Candy Cane and Orange), it's been decided that we're going to do them the old fashioned way - comparison and estimation - to empty the queues.
This means that any custom obtained from those queues from this post onward cannot be used as personal proof for further submission of those lines to normal queues.
We're hoping this will help buck the queues up a little and release several hundred customs back to people.

Out of curiosity, since I have no clue what the reason is for my kickback is yet I went back a few news pages and found this:

i'm a lil put out, one of my designs which was a common halloween psd (witch kitty reve) was kicked back, and i dont know why since the other one i submitted at the same time was accepted. hmmph, that was by far my fave submission for the year! :(

Dragongirl (#36910) That was saying she extended the deadline from the 19th to the 24th so people could get in their resubmissions not that there would be further resubmissions after the 24th.

In the end a line has to be drawn, otherwise the items would have never retired, and that line was the 24th, exactly as Loveless stated. I had already extended it once, extending it again isn't logical or feasible when people will take advantage and pour hundreds more into the queue, necessitating a lot of time kicking back customs on what appeared to be an active custom item.

Yeah okay so it was the 24th. I wish I'd taken a screen shot because I know I submitted the moment I got my MDT back. Any way to check? Not trying to be a pain, but like I remember this vividly :o

The "resubmission" thing was offered in the timeline given. She wanted to offer people time for 1 resubmission before the deadline. If you waited til like 3 days til deadline, you wouldnt have had time anyways??
Also, i dont think it was expected to backlog all the queues either, i mean, who expects several hundred customs at once? It affected all the queues.

Ohhhhh is that what happened? Was I just a goof and the 24th was for the resubmits only? That makes more sense.

I'm confused on mine I had a lot submitted about the same time and yet it was like they picked and choose what ones they accepted and what ones would be denied. As I had a few denied and then a couple accepted and some denied again and some accepted. REALLY confusing on how this thing went down. At this point I'm like bd84 about done with customs too, as I remember seeing a post saying we'd all have a chance to resubmit if our design was denied and yet that didn't happen and a lot got kicked for "being too late" but then others submitted at the same time where accepted??
