Well, I s'pose, but maybe we should find someone that could do that before critiquing it XD

Ishi: I respectfully disagree. X3 I would argue that the front legs in the old one are poorly represented - indeed, the entire thing is a bit of an anatomical nightmare, lol. The new one is not without problems, but I really do feel that its legs are akin to a horse. The 'backwards knee' on the hind leg is the hock, just as it is on the front legs. The hooves, like all hooved animals, are the toes.

But who cares? It's not even real. xD

I'm sure the artist can read these crits ;) Better to crit now and get it over with while it's fresh in our minds imho. Then again I'm kind of in the moment and would rather get through the crits now XD;

Aion: Not if the rear legs were longer, for the purposes of pouncing. :3

Well I don't see why we need it edited, it looks like it's winning the way it is anyways XD

Honestly, I think comparative anatomy is where we're all disagreeing. I've been interpreting it to have an over-angulated build with a long-reaching stride, like a show German Shepherd. Like this: https://www.veneze.com/imagesMales/Zenno_Large.jpg -If you gave the dog I just posted a level back with shoulders at the height of his hips, I think he'd have similar front legs to the new insi. But I definitely think there's room for improvement on the new lineart! I'm hardly saying the anatomy is infallible, just that there's a lot that can be excused as stylization.

New art will almost always win polls is why :P

I like your post a lot rammy. It offered me good, insightful information. I was never aware that show dogs posed like that. And I agree that there is always room for improvement and more than likely the leg is just stylized. A lot of the animals have very stylized features and some of them were altered due to criticism. Just a shame the artist quit.

I think the old one is much cuter... The new one looks to much like a real bug!
