Fetish isn't bad at all to me, it's just not anywhere near the same as a sexuality. Being part of the Ac-Ace (shortening it for ease) isn't "I'm into this thing that isn't typical" it's a lot more than that. Which this is a type of Ace aka a sexuality. Ace is sort of an umbrella term these days, because people have opened the doors to exploring themselves and that's lead to branching out to many different types of the different sexualities.

I'm with Jackins & Nox (#50) why do y'all gotta be so hurtful? There are actual people that this card stuff represents that share this site with you, you might as well be saying that "oh god this is so annoying" or "meh. sounds like a fetish" to their faces.
In any case I'm glad I finally get my card, still wondering where the allosexual aromantic one is though.

I myself most probably belong to this category of asexuality, but I could easily be mistaken. It does not bother me so much what others consider it to be (I don't represent any asexual other than myself). If you think it is a fetish, that's cool, so long as you can provide a link or two to a page or a thread (along with the definition of the word 'fetish') so I can try to understand why it could be so. I myself, being an asexual (as far as I know), do not think of my lack of sexuality as a form of sexuality - hence I am an asexual. I am lead to consider my apparent 'autochrissexuality' to be a form of paraphilia (though I think there are some other sexualities that belong here but currently do not - just need more research!), perhaps a brain disorder in my chemical receptiveness or expression toward sexual behaviours or certain objects that would normally cause arousal - but clearly do not in me. It's not that I have come to learn about these things and made a conscious choice about it, but I am glad that it does no harm to anything so I wouldn't opt to change this part of me (it's not like my stupid species is in danger of going extinct just because
too fewsome of us do not reproduce!). I have never had any overwhelming desire to engage myself in any sexual activities that involve more than myself. Seeing other humans engage in sexual activities does gross me out frequently, but that doesn't mean that I necessarily find the participants to be yuck as well. For example, I absolutely admire looking at pigeons (anyone heard of Hatoful Boyfriend?), but I definitely do not wish to have any kind of sex with those pigeons, or those cute Japanese males - even though these things fall into my range of aesthetics. I may watch Japanese porn some times (I skip the sex part as I dislike the explicit content, but enjoy the sometimescreepyunique, thoroughly built foreplay and the romance- it's the unconventional scenario rather than the sexual act), but I do not wish to engage in sexual activities of any sort myself - I only encounter my own involvement in sexual activities in nightmares. Even I find it difficult to explain my own asexuality - and I want to find out exactly why I'm that way (not that I wish to change it).

This seems like a questionable forum for discussion. Whatever your personal feelings on the matter, this was a gift for the userbase, created and uploaded by a user on their own time and money. It doesn't hurt anyone, and if you dislike it, you can choose to not purchase it. Further, some of these comments have gotten pretty [M] and I'm honestly kind of uncomfortable to find them in a news post.
Maybe a thread could be created elsewhere for people to discuss their personal experiences with asexuality?

I have a few friends I know through my younger brother who are in that sage (late teens/early 20's), one of whom is sadly in the hospital right now because she tried to hurt herself over the weekend... (stress of mother's day and her parents not accepting her gender identity) ...
I have to say, for the most part this discussion has made me happy, to see so many people, though diffrent themselves, be supportive and helping others learning about something that might have been unknown and misunderstood
Though I will say.... when ever I think of "fetish" I think of it in the more traditional sense of a Tiki fetish ... with the big masks and feathers and such... and not in connection to anything sexual or otherwise...

I'm with Oeste with this one. I think you guys should move this into the forum. I left that link above just for people who were confused on what the card was representing but these comments are getting pretty [M] and should probably be reserved for a forum thread properly marked as so. #3998 #50 People said google it, and most of the results seem to agree on calling it a paraphilia. I think we can mostly agree on calling it a flavour of asexuality, if people think "fetish" is a bad word. To me (and dictionaries) it just means "thing that you're into that isn't typical".
