Cash Auctions - Liquidation

Pets

It is with a heavy heart that Aywas brings you the opportunity to participate in the cash auctions of hundreds of custom pets. The reason for this is that the previous owner of the pets has caused us to fall nearly $5000 in debt due to chargebacks. I have a rant thread that goes into some detail regarding the situation.

We have to seek out a way to make ourselves whole for the damage done to us--both in terms of money lost and potential damage to the good standing of our payments account. As you can understand, if the chargebacks (which now number over a hundred in the past two months from this one individual) cause us to lose our payment accounts, that would be devastating. A high number of chargebacks can cause payment processors to cancel accounts with a company due to high risk.

Our PayPal account is not currently affected by this problem, but I have no idea if the volume of chargebacks on Amazon Payments could affect it in the future.

The USD Auctions page reflects all of the custom pets that we have decided to reclaim from the player who filed the chargebacks. You can pledge a bid on the pet by entering an amount and an invoice e-mail address.

Please note:

1. Bids made through USD auctions cannot be canceled.

2. Please place a bid only if you are committed to buying the pet if you win it.

3. Pets come "as is" as we have no idea what rules may have been placed on them. We will help mediate any issues between the new owner and any previous owners.

4. We would prefer accepting payment on our Amazon Payments account to prevent the delinquent account (it's in the negative) from being sent to collections and/or legal action taken against us for not having the disputed funds. If it cannot be paid through this, we will accept PayPal.

5. All auctions end in approximately seven days. End dates are listed on the auctions themselves.

6. When the auctions are over, your total bill (all your auctions won) will be invoiced to you. Upon successful payment, all pets won will be placed into your lair.

Some highlights below:

It is not a usual thing for Aywas to take repossession of pets on a banned account. This situation is unique, grave, and we hope will not have to be repeated in the future. Ultimately, we appreciate any support, because this is one of the worst situations we have found ourselves in.

As a final note, any comments making threats toward the individual who filed the chargeback will be removed without notice. This happened on tumblr before and it will not be permitted here. Believe me, I am just as angry as you are, but threats will only make things worse, and they cannot be tolerated.

I think these are almost all of their custom pets? And maybe some more might be added at a later point? :)

There a tons of people who pay for things at huge prices (I buy my gp and so all my customs or most are USD funded and have cost 18 to 50 or more USD). I put fees on mine, but others pay more in terms of USD and keep theirs free. If a pet has 'free' on it or another simpler rule, then at least keep it for a small period of time.

Well Guess its good i missed the mystery ticket sale as it allows me some funds to bid on some of these pets. Just did the math and it comes to $3972 dollars. (probably more now that people had time to bid while i was doing math)

And that's just day 1. Were OVER half way there. Hopefully this will be able to pull the last 1.5k USD to even out (saying 1.5 not 1.1 to ensure theirs enough money for any taxes or transaction fees)

I agree with Fiery [semi-hiatus] (#10722) with selling custom off prem-ban accounts.
To go back to site so how.

See the notice for the over 4000 raised so far! That is awesome, almost completely recouped on the first day bids.

So, Aywas isn't going to get shut down, is it? A rather grave situation with the finances just breaks out the worry-wart in me, and I can't imagine that end-result coming about, but I wanted to be sure! Also, are you okay, Slash? You know your users will always support you, so I hope this isn't to taxing on you! Not just financially but emotionally as well. ):

Quick Question: If it isn't to much to ask could we get a link on the auction page that could show us all the pets we are currently the high bidder for, kind of a history tab? (Since its a wee bit difficult for some of us phone users to keep track of them?)

@#15 Will our purchases in the auctions count towards the bonus credit totals?

Can we just donate money to help without budding on pets?

To everyone poking me here and other places for stating that it is appalling to even think of forcing someone to give away free breedings-

It. Is. The. FORCING. Part. That. Is. Getting. To. Me.

I personally have TONS of pets that are "Let me do a painted twin/Greater Fert, and you're golden!" And I have no problems with others CHOOSING without coersion or guilt trips, to give discounts or free breedings.

I have HUGE HONKING DISGUSTING issues with your wanting to FORCE this on people buying these pets.

If Maryhadalittlelamb decides to buy the Xaoc or an awesome Teo or something, then Maryhadalittlelamb should be able to DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES what rate they will charge for breedings- if they do them at all.

Thank you for your time. Sorry for the shouting, but my eye started twitching and I wanted it to be crystal clear, without needing to repeat myself five dozen times.
