Cash Auctions - Liquidation

Pets

It is with a heavy heart that Aywas brings you the opportunity to participate in the cash auctions of hundreds of custom pets. The reason for this is that the previous owner of the pets has caused us to fall nearly $5000 in debt due to chargebacks. I have a rant thread that goes into some detail regarding the situation.

We have to seek out a way to make ourselves whole for the damage done to us--both in terms of money lost and potential damage to the good standing of our payments account. As you can understand, if the chargebacks (which now number over a hundred in the past two months from this one individual) cause us to lose our payment accounts, that would be devastating. A high number of chargebacks can cause payment processors to cancel accounts with a company due to high risk.

Our PayPal account is not currently affected by this problem, but I have no idea if the volume of chargebacks on Amazon Payments could affect it in the future.

The USD Auctions page reflects all of the custom pets that we have decided to reclaim from the player who filed the chargebacks. You can pledge a bid on the pet by entering an amount and an invoice e-mail address.

Please note:

1. Bids made through USD auctions cannot be canceled.

2. Please place a bid only if you are committed to buying the pet if you win it.

3. Pets come "as is" as we have no idea what rules may have been placed on them. We will help mediate any issues between the new owner and any previous owners.

4. We would prefer accepting payment on our Amazon Payments account to prevent the delinquent account (it's in the negative) from being sent to collections and/or legal action taken against us for not having the disputed funds. If it cannot be paid through this, we will accept PayPal.

5. All auctions end in approximately seven days. End dates are listed on the auctions themselves.

6. When the auctions are over, your total bill (all your auctions won) will be invoiced to you. Upon successful payment, all pets won will be placed into your lair.

Some highlights below:

It is not a usual thing for Aywas to take repossession of pets on a banned account. This situation is unique, grave, and we hope will not have to be repeated in the future. Ultimately, we appreciate any support, because this is one of the worst situations we have found ourselves in.

As a final note, any comments making threats toward the individual who filed the chargeback will be removed without notice. This happened on tumblr before and it will not be permitted here. Believe me, I am just as angry as you are, but threats will only make things worse, and they cannot be tolerated.

Tsuyu & Sia (#774) Please see above.
If Shadow had said "Free", or "50 gp", has absolutely no standing.
Shadow is not the owner, and they NEVER were. They stole, they lied, and worse they did their level best to disrupt the site. Thus every item they "owned" on this site was never paid for, and is stolen property.

If someone breaks the window to an electronics store and loots it, but turns around and lists the laptops on ebay-
Just because they sold the laptops at 25$ each, does the actual store owner have to send the laptops to the ebay "buyers" when they get the laptops back from the police after the theif is arrested? Or if the laptops are declined by the store and then sold by the police at auction after a year's investigation, do they need to track down the ebay buyers first, or do they just list and auction them with the original store's permission?

Or was it a false transaction and further fraud and theft on the part of the Thief, and a lost 25$ on the part of the buyers?

SURE the store can CHOOSE to honor the sales, but no, they do not HAVE to.

Even saying that a refund or breeding is due to anyone who pre-paid/traded for a breeding, is more good customer service on the site's part.

Trying to enforce a THIEVES prices on the LAWFUL owner is... boggling to me.

No me gusta.

Quick question: Do you know if we'd be able to use Visa gift cards for the USD auctions? I don't have an official credit/debit card yet, so the Visa/Mastercard gift cards are the only way I have to pay for stuff online. I've been able to buy GP with one in the past, but this is a special situation and I'm not 100% sure it'd work with the USD auctions.

Mad Doctor D (#6778) yes, amazon takes the pre-paid visa cards, and you can also use an amazon gift card for amazon payments. :D

J.A.K. (#15) just because I'm a little nervous about this. Bids that Don't Win, aren't going to be deducted from our accounts, right?

I want to donate to this. I want to bid on a pet but my mother thinks this is some kind of scam and won't let me. I showed her the Amazon posts but she doesn't believe anyone would invest $5000 in this site. I want to do this but I don't have any way to buy pets. I wish I could help, I really do.
