With a tremendous 175,000 votes, Carolina Raptor Center catapulted to the top! They scored 4th place and managed to get the $25,000 grant!
Think about that for a second, guys. Because all of us came together and voted, a charity was awarded $25,000. That's way more than we will ever be capable of personally donating, but we still managed to make it happen. That's the unique power of a player base that cares about animals and their welfare.
Give yourselves a pat on the back, because that's amazing!

Alder (#60571) maaan we managed over 40k votes that last day, between the top 10 crowd and everyone else, we were the equivalent of 5k people voting 7-8 times each. Which is the most most people will do.
We literally were doing 500+ votes an hour, and that is- crazy levels of dedication. The only way we would have lost our place is if someone hardcore cranked it up for be kind people, and I don't think they had a community like ours championing them.

Heyy, 4 is my lucky number! Glad they made it~ I had this intense worry that they wouldn't even though I admit I don't get that emotionally involved with birds. BUT that poor owl - whom was hit by a car iirc - I read about on that CRC site. Oh jeebus, it struck me in the feels D': In any case I'm sure the monies will be put to good use to help those birdies of prey :3 (and I guess the helmet thing is neat too /not a Nascar fan nor does it seem this site is in general since it was like never mentioned, I read it on the contest site, I think lol xD)

Dude, flippin' great! My Internet was out for like three days of that so I didn't vote too often, but wonderful job to the site as a whole! I'm sure the Raptor Center is more than ecstatic to have that :3
