Please Be Careful

Site Update

We have been encountering a rising number of scams associated with trading with other game sites ("cross site trading"). To ensure your protection, please be careful when trading with other sites.

- If you are SENDING Aywas Stuff to another Aywas account for something offsite, you are fully protected by Aywas Staff. In the event the other party does not send your goods offsite, you can come to us and we will reverse the transaction so you get your Aywas stuff back.

- If you are SENDING Other Site Stuff offsite in exchange for Aywas Stuff, you are not protected by Aywas Staff. The player you sent the stuff to on the other site may not have the goods to give you on Aywas. In addition, there have been incidents of purchasing GP and then chargebacking it after spending it on other site goods - and that results in the "illegitimate GP" being removed from the site (and your account, if you traded with them).

If you play any games where the staff does not recover your items from scams, please be EXTRA CAREFUL with your trades. Trade only with players you know very well and that you are certain will not scam you.

Thanks for the heads up. I've traded FR Treasure and gems for GP regularly but I'll make sure to take screenshots now so in future people don't have to question validity. This kind of thing makes people anxious and hesitant to trade, hopefully us legit traders can redeem after this piece of work decided to play silly buggers. - L

I've never had problems off site trading, but I usually run into the same people again and again when trading offsite, so we already have a sort of trading history established.

What is "chargebacking"? I've never had a problem with offsite trading, but I would like to know what to look out for.

For anyone looking for a reputable player to buy GP from, #81 has been amazing with all their transactions. I've bought a lot of GP from them in the past months. They send it immediately and I send the TR. So, if you're a little anxious and want to go to someone you KNOW will not scam you, look into them.

Thank you so much for providing a full protection of Aywas trades! I know a lot of sites do not do that so this is very much appreciated :)

I've never had this problem, thankfully, but I tend to wait until I'm sent the GP first before sending off site items. I have to double-check everything when sending things off-site because I'm always afraid I'll send the items to the wrong account. It's sad that people are so dishonest, though... :/

Such a shame that the problem has been so bad that a news post had to be made.

Shycat (#45175) I believe it means that someone is buying GP from the site, trading it away, and then reporting it as a fraudulent charge to their credit company. The charge is then cancelled and the GP purchase is negated, so the currency is deleted from the site. If you've traded someone and received the GP being deleted you will have lost whatever you were trading and ended up with nothing.

"You are fully protected by Aywas staff" So cool! I don't do any other online games so I don't have to worry about it. :) Hopefully people don't lie about it and get their stuff back from a successful transaction, though. ^^

Thanks for bringing this to attention
