Tigerbird Finx
Many of you have heard talk of the other side of Ay. One of the pets that walks those unknown lands is the Finx. We might not be ready to release the other side of Ay yet, but we're going to be releasing the PSDs to these pets one by one to accept colorations for when the other side of the world goes live.
The Finx is a species whose colors should blend the designs of a mammal and a bird. That one up there isn't a good example because that was just Xero experimenting on melos and reves (it is purdy though), but good examples would be:
- Leopard Hawk
- Tiger Osprey
- Panda Eagle
And so forth.
The Tigerbird is indeed the first of the Finx species and will be the only Finx coloration released before the other side of Ay becomes accessible. You can thank Xero for that. Due to the rarity of these creatures, he'll be handing out ten of them of random genders. If you would like to take your chances getting one, post your favorite thing about the Finx species. Winners will be randomly selected from the entries (no double entries, one news comment per person, please).

Ooh.. that's gorgeous. Seriously loving this species. :D I'm curious what the current mix is.. maybe a golden tiger and grosbeak..? If we can only choose one favorite thing about it, I'd have to say the expression- it's so fitting! Looks like a suave little tom cat out for a night on the town. It's really gives the pet a lot of character and just makes the stance and everything mesh really nicely. c:

I love the fact that it's a cat, but yet it has wings. That adds a completely new element of surprise in the design. :)

I love how muscular the wings are, like they'd actually be viable for flying. And besides, who doesn't love a cat with wings. Someone needs to make an angel. ^_- *hint hint*

My favorite thing about the finx is that it is so feline looking. I love cats and Melos just look too much like dogs for me but these finxes are adorable.

I really like their expressions. Kinda smug, in a way, but like "I'm cute and pretty and I know it", not obnoxiously smug.

I favorite thing about this pet is the energy of it. She really looks like she's about to do something naughty - and enjoy every second of it. A lot of the pets are quite stationary, this one is ready to Pounce ya!

obviously being NAMED wings i will enjoy the wings! i can't wait to see other colorations of this species, because things with wings make me happy 8D
