Tigerbird Finx
Many of you have heard talk of the other side of Ay. One of the pets that walks those unknown lands is the Finx. We might not be ready to release the other side of Ay yet, but we're going to be releasing the PSDs to these pets one by one to accept colorations for when the other side of the world goes live.
The Finx is a species whose colors should blend the designs of a mammal and a bird. That one up there isn't a good example because that was just Xero experimenting on melos and reves (it is purdy though), but good examples would be:
- Leopard Hawk
- Tiger Osprey
- Panda Eagle
And so forth.
The Tigerbird is indeed the first of the Finx species and will be the only Finx coloration released before the other side of Ay becomes accessible. You can thank Xero for that. Due to the rarity of these creatures, he'll be handing out ten of them of random genders. If you would like to take your chances getting one, post your favorite thing about the Finx species. Winners will be randomly selected from the entries (no double entries, one news comment per person, please).

Oh, wow, how gorgeous.
I love the cat/bird combination, but even more so I adore the species colouration combination - the way the mammal design and bird design are melded together both in shape and pattern. The wings are positively stunning; but I must say I love the tail even more!
What an awesome and incredible species. I'm sure they'll be wildly popular all over Ay...!

The reason I like the Finx, and in particular, why they're going to be my new favorite Ay, is because, while everyone thinks the Melos are SO CUTE and the best, I don't like dogs, and that's what the Melos pretty much are. Ever since I was attacked by a dog when I was 5 I've never liked dogs, so I've always been a cat person. The fact that they have wings as well is cool because it reminds me of a Manticore, though without the scorpion tail, which has always been one of my favorite mythological beings.

Cats are one of my favorite animals and with the wings, the Finx is a beauty! I really like the look on their face and the way their body is shaped. Their wings are quite beautiful also.

My favorite things are it's big eyes and ears. I have a Sphynx, and it very much reminds me of her. Plus the breed name sounds almost the same.

Zomg. 0.o It's amazing. D: My favourite thing is that it's a winged mammal! I've been obsessed with wings since I was kid, I used to say I would find some mad scientist to graft wings onto me -hopeful child-. I mean.. wings mean it could fly. :D And the wings combined with the fact it has that look on it's face that says, "I'm so much better than you." sexy smirk ftw. <3

I love the new lines and the wings but as a whole this aywas fits very nicely into this world .
