Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

Aaaaah if i was held at gunpoint id have to say that 'the forbidden game' by lj smith was seriously the one book id love the most. And. Ive read alot of books |D yes it seens like a weenie book for teens(romance and angst and hurts hnng e- e) but. Its so much more. For one, the plot is perfect. Each character has a certain role, each one is vitally important to the books story itself essinally. Two, is that some of the themes has reffrences to the black forest(oh my god love) and the grim brother tales. But of course the romance and heartbreaking ending that. I sob at to no fail each time i read it(read it....over 8 times by now-- and its a pretty thick book eue) its just. Its tragic. Ok i wont rant on how its the best book ever in my opinion lol, im so happy that by chance i found it! I looked everywhere in stores and never found another one :C but really. If you like horror, adventure, romance, and heart wrenching tragic endings then. You really absolutely need to read this book. <3

I've been reading anything and everything by H.P Lovecraft lately. It's collections of short stories, so I can read them inbetween taking my dogs out! There's a great one at Barnes n Noble (actually, the only place I've found one). It has all of his works, even the lesser-known ones.

My favorite story is The Colour out of Space. Definantly suspenseful and great imagery.

Rift War Saga and Sword of Truth Novels. Both of these Are fantastic! Brilliant use of intelligent language, well written and developed characters! The plot just gets more twisted, but stays believable (within their realm) and just keeps you wanting more! Magic and Adventure! Love and Loss! Each one dealing with the potential loss of the world and their struggle to maintain the current balance! Each is a series with good sized books and honestly these are two of the best series I have ever read!

World War Z by Max Brooks. It's a terrifying look at humanities attempt to survive the great zombie war. There is no central narration, instead the stories are told from the perspective of the survivors. There are also quite a few Easter eggs that sharp readers find.

Guards Guards by Terry Pratchet, the Discworld books are fantastic but the Guards series is my favourite (despite how much I love the luggage). Definitely a good place to start if you want to begin reading his books :3

I don't have a favorite book, but i have two all time fave series (besides Harry Potter). Stephen King's The Dark Tower series and Naomi Novik's Temeraire series are my faves because of the character depth, the events, the attention to detail, and how diverse they are.

Everything by David and Leigh Eddings, which is quite a bit Cx The Redemption of Althalus is probably one of their best. They write epic fantasies with long quests, afellowship, villains, gods and a good dosis of humour :)
If you like historical fiction, Mary Tudor, the first queen by Linda Porter is really good :)
It tells her life, from early childhood until her death. It gives another look at 'Bloody Mary'.
This site gives a good idea of the book :)

Tunnels! By, er, hold on a sec... Roderick Gordan and Brian Williams. It's just, the best ever. Ever. It might be a 'slow' start for some, but when it gets going it's like a freight train. XD Plus the rest of the series. Also thanks for making me Google it because AAAAA THE LAST BOOK IS OUT AND I DIDN'T KNOW! Since /APRIL/. ;_; *whisks off to find it from somewhere*
