Switching them would cause massive confusion between certain people (mainly newbies). So I picked the old lines to prevent any confusion. Alt lines need to remain alt lines.

DarkFireWolf - Oh, I just meant that I deliberately made the tail short to eat up less edit percentage when editing off because I never imagined it'd become the official site lines... and it'd be cuter if it was changed to have a fluffier tail (like the original and current) for metals if it goes through, is all. -- Imay

;-; WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE OLD LINE MELOS SO MUCH? I like literally every other set of Melo lines more than Old Lines, because Old Lines have really wonky anatomy and HORRIFYING eyes. (Don't you dare deny it; there's a reason almost everyone edits the eyes and the obsession with bedroom-eyed sparkledogs is only about half of that reason! *MAULED* X"3)
New Lines are adorable with adorable noses and adorable eyes and super great fluffy tails, but Imay's is also super adorable and feels more 'iconic' to me. It also feels like it's kind of closer to Old Lines in essence but with much cuter eyes and better anatomy, and from an unbiased standpoint I like that. Both have their pros and cons... But imo both have the huge pro of "better than Old Line". xD; *mauledmoar!*

I don't like the top one at all and would rather the melo didn't change at all but if it were to be the top one I guess I would just avoid customs for it. It's a bit too cartoonish for my liking. Unless someone made horror customs for it, that would be epic and completely change my mind xD
