Looking through the alternate event lines (mostly because I wanted to compare the Old-line with the first alternate Melo lines) I can see how the latest Alt-Melo looks like an Oske. Take a look at the Love Potion #9 Oske. It and the Imay Alt Melo are quite similar... As for my preference of Melos, well, I'm kinda on the fence about the whole thing. *shrugs* I just figured that I would point out that it might be one of the reasons why the Oske similarity has been made by others.

I still think the newest (alt, whatever) ones don't have a large enough tail. It's not short enough to look docked and not long enough to look normal.
I think I shall refer to that one as StubbyTail and the 'new' lines as FluffyChest, and the 'old' lines as LineonChestThatLooksLikeBoobs (Which is why I hate the old lines, they don't make sense.). Because that makes more sense than 'old', 'new', and 'alt', seeing as the new is no longer new, and ALT IMAY MELO is too confusing.

The alt looks too cute to be the normal one. I think it'd do better as an alt so it'd stay special :3

I've never liked the bulbous head of the current regular Melo lines... but the ear hair and the thin tail (should be fluffier, like the regular lines) really bother me about these new alt lines too.
It's a no-win either way for me. I much rather have the original Melo lines back. :/

I feel like this has long been needed. I don't really like the original melo lines and the new one is better but it isn't very popular. I think the alt lines are really for the best!

I prefer the alt Imay melo lines due to the fact the eyes don't look like there staring off into nothingness like the new melo does. The alt Imay looks more focused while the current melo looks as if its day dreaming. It always bothered me....

Well.. The Melo WAS my all time favorite.. But if this change takes place and we are all forced to take this new line art.. I won't be collecting anymore. I fell in love with this Melo and I don't think its far that popular opinion changes everyone game play... even the ones who don't want this change.

I so prefer the old melo....... they are much cuter than the new one! Just my opinion but the old melo was my favorite. If this change takes place it will no longer be my pet of choice that is for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand the 'similarity' to the Oske when it comes to the Alt lines... Same general pose (excluding lifted paw), same angle/perspective, longer legs, bigger looking head, thinner tail, etc. I see how people think "Oske," but that isn't... /too/ bad. It could also be the direction - if it was flipped horizontally, it wouldn't come to mind as much.
I still think the New lines should stay as the Adventure-Explore lines. I was around during the change, and even then I preferred them over the Old. These Alt lines (considering I just came back after a couple years) feel "off" by that subtle style difference. Or it may be that the things like the longer neck, less fluff, chest, etc. don't feel like either of the first two Melos. I have always known Melos to have big tails, short necks, shorter legs, thicker bodies...
