To the confused: New "default" lines will not mean that your collection of melos will change in any way. It means that FUTURE Adventure-Area melos will be on the alt lines.
You can still use the "new" lines in custom making and presumably, artists can still choose those lines when making pets for OTHER competitions like the custom giveaway game, month pets, event pets, etc. This isn't as big of a deal as folks seem to think it is.

@Keera I disagree. That would be true if the alt melo was smiling, but I think the new melo looks more chibified and 'cutesy'. I mean, I don't find it particularly cute, but it looks so blobby and not really intimidating even with edits.

I would actually start collecting Melos again if Imays alt lines won :D I love the ears, they're so much more like the original old Melo ears that I always adored! The new line... I never really liked it, I couldn't even bring myself to like any customs done on it's lines :(
Regarding changing of lines affecting existing Melos - Normally when we get a new default line the old colourations are re-coloured and changed to the new default lines (this was supposed to have happened to the old line Melos when the new line ones came out but for some reason never got completed) BUT 1) I'm not sure if this is still the case, 2) you have always been able to message Visark when they changed and get them changed back to the original lines FOR FREE (up until the point that all pets have been changed, then you'd need to dawn crystal them, but this is a long time frame we're talking here if they even change all of them in the first place), 3) this only affects explore/shop/event etc... pets which are not even all released on the same lines any more (so not all of them would be changed anyway) and does not affect customs.

Does anyone know how it will be for customs which are in the making? I mean, I'm working on some BCCs for the current Melo line... would those still be ok to be submitted with BCCs even if the Imay Melo should be the new official version?

I voted for the imay alt because there are already SO many new line melos out there. The old lines are my favorite though

You could still use the lines for BCC. This is only affecting adventure from what I see.

Keera - Customs would be fine, no matter which is default you'll still be able to make customs with any of the three lines just like you can still make customs with the original old line Melos. Just to be clear: If the default changes (*fingers crossed*) it WILL NOT affect customs whatsoever :)

just to check: If the Imay Melo wins... will all current Melos be revamped? Or do we keep ours? I would guess the latter, but just to be sure...
