Would you guys care to have the alt Imay melo replace the "new melo" as the official/explore lines?
vs 
Alt vs New
If so, the "new melo" would become alt lines, and the "alt Imay melo" would become the usual explore and event lines.

Look at the old melo, then the new, then the alt. between the new and old, it is still a melo, but the alt is not. When you think of a melo, what do you see? For sure, it is not the alt. it is too big of a change. It is like eliminating the melo all together.

This is very true. That is part of what i feel i just couldn't figure out how to word it. It is like a special melo, but it is hard to see it as the official melo.

I prefer the New Melo. The Alt is cute but I like the other one more.

It's really surprising to me to see so many people suddenly standing up for the new melo? And denouncing the alt? Weird because I have yet to see a pet designer make a custom based on the new melo. It was all old melo before the alt came along, and then a lot of people really loved the alt and a lot of customs were ported over to it, and a looooot of gorgeous custom designs for the alt were made. So I pretty much thought it was no contest.
I don't know, I prefer the alt personally but if it's not the 'main' melo I won't be upset about it. And for those who are saying that melos are the face of aywas and change is bad .... ? Everyone thinks of old melo when they think of melo. The BULK of melo customs are made on OLD lines. The new is a huge change from that and it lost so much dynamism and I really don't think the 'face of the site' is the new melo? the alt is just honestly a better piece of artwork with more dynamism.
i have no idea what i'm saying anymore i'm just like. really? if everyone loves the new melo so much where are the oodles of new line customs? i'm confused.

I prefer the Alt Melo, just because it rings more true to the original/old Melo lines. They both have that angular spunk that the New Melo lines don't have. I don't think it would be necessary to change, though. It's kind of nice having the Alt lines show up in events only; it kind of makes them more special? (I remember when the Melo revamp was happening, oh dear XD)

I personally like the new line Melo and have never understood the degree of animosity that so many people have for it. I have several new line customs and think they're great- one of my customs that I have long considered one of my prettiest is a new line Melo. That said, however, I do prefer the alt Melo. It takes everything that bothered me about the old Melo (which I still do like, just the anatomy bothered me), and does it better than the new lines. Hell, this is the only Melo whos ears I have actually liked. And yet... it doesn't feel right for an official lineart. The style is just different, the shading doesn't feel right... and to a degree, I suppose the pose doesn't feel right, either. Something about it just feels special, more like an alt than an official lineart. And I have an inkling I wouldn't like those lines as much if I saw them all over the place in site pets, because they're not intended to be those kind of lines. Considering they're now my favourite Melo lines, I really don't want that to happen. :c

I'm wanting to stay with the New Melo, the alt just looks too weird with those ears Dx'. It's fine having the alt Melo now and again for like Slashbot events but that's it.
