Would you guys care to have the alt Imay melo replace the "new melo" as the official/explore lines?
vs 
Alt vs New
If so, the "new melo" would become alt lines, and the "alt Imay melo" would become the usual explore and event lines.

And I'm the opposite of Leanna... I've hoarded Melos but hated the New lines so much that I've contemplated getting rid of all the New lines ones... it's certainly made me hoard Melos less than I used to. If they all got switched to the alt Imay, all my hard work hoarding New lines would finally pay off!

I think the alt should stay as what it really looks like, an alt. It should stay for being used for special occasions. I love the New one, because I am used to it. The New one gives more creative room for designs, while the alt would be hard to make melos that are more varied.

@307 Regardless of what becomes the 'official' lines, you will still be able to create customs on whatever lines you want. Just like how now you can still create Old Line Melo customs with a Custom Crystal or New Lines/Imay Alt if you prefer. This won't affect your ability to make customs. Old Lines won't become 'rare' because of the change; people still shown they adore the Old Lines and will continue to make them. You can still LBC 2 Old Lines without predicts and have offspring.
But on the subject, personally I prefer Imay's lines over the new. But I think opening this subject again is just a can of worms. This subject was a sore note the first time it came around, I think we should just let sleeping dogs lie, because regardless of the 'winning' lines, there's going to be unhappy people. But that's just my thoughts on the matter.

What I mean is that with the alt, it would be hard to make something without that 'cute' look. I'm not saying that cute is bad, but a species needs to have room to be able to give different looks. I like cute, but I also would want melos that are cool, spooky, evil looking, ec. With the alt melo, this is harder to do. With the new melo, there is a larger range of looks.

The alt doesn't look like a melo, it looks like an alt, because it is. it should stay that way, or it will be too confusing and won't be good. for every species, people connect the name to a certain look. The new melo is what comes to mind when thinking of a melo. when you go to the All Pet Genuses page, the genuses and their pictures should always stay the same there, because those are what the species look like. To change these looks is to essentially get rid of the pet and replace it with a new one that takes the same name, even though it really isn't the same.

And for all we know, New actually should be winning but the people thought New meant newest as in the alt.

The new melo should stay the explore pet I think because that is what melos usually look like, and it would be weird to change it to the alt since it is such a big change in look.
