Alt vs Official Melos

Pets

Would you guys care to have the alt Imay melo replace the "new melo" as the official/explore lines?

Alt vs New

If so, the "new melo" would become alt lines, and the "alt Imay melo" would become the usual explore and event lines.

Which Melo should be the official/explore lines?

Call be indecisive but I can't decide. A constant battle between enjoying new things and disliking change. The one melo is like the original (well the one before it was actually the original and the line change back then if I recall has caused problems for breeding). The new lines are nice... but how many things will get effected with the change? Will breedings be effected again and we not be allowed to breed our loved older lines with new ones?

I like the alt, but I think I prefer the old-new as default for the site "/ and leave the alt just for custom/event...

@Bri & RC
You already couldn't breed them together without predicts. This doesn't change that. The Alt is already on site, all this changes is the type submitted to ADVENTURE areas.
That's it. O___O

I dunno...I LOVE the Alt. Imay lines because it's cuter and more melo-like to me. I've always preferred the old lines to the new line because, in my opinion, edits look much much nicer on the old lines. I've never liked the new lines, but my partner and I have stopped collecting site pets for the most part, so meh. I guess I've got no persuasion either way so long as the Imay melo is still around and available for custom making~

i'm really not a fan of the alt image...i really hope that the "new" melo stays...otherwise, i will likely stop collecting them as much as i do now

@28389

I understand that. I think maybe I didn't really word my point very well (whoops). If the new lines become the norm then people creating new customs would be on the new lines right? Which means all the beloved old lines like you mentioned are going to be really limited in the future because of the necessity for predicts. I think maybe for people who really enjoy what there is now that it would be a negative in the future because of all the extra steps to keep the breeding alive on the older ones?

I absolutely agree that the Imay is the better art. In fact I was really sad when we went from the original melo lines to the newer ones we have now because I think the new ones are kinda goofy. Just something that doesn't fit about them. But if we changes lines so often I really feel like it's a disservice. Rather than having many years of consistency and easy breeding shaking it up makes things confusing and makes older lines harder to deal with and less valuable.

I'm not hell bent on not having the new lines or anything I think maybe it's something worth considering though, I mean ALL the effects that new lines bring along with them.

Aw, I really like the "new" Melo. I'd probably stop hoarding them if it was switched to the alt Imay.

So glad you asked! I've never been a fan of the so-called New Melo lines... Just the other day I wondered if the Aywas userbase would make the same choice (between Old lines and New lines) if asked today to choose between them.
