Site Update
This is a short newspost, so please be sure to check the one under this for Holiday related goodies!
Yasu coded for me a 60-day regen, so I'm using it for the purpose of making Lesser Breeding Pendants 60 day regen. I know people will be rather upset by this, but with several hundreds in circulation and the price of pendant slots still horribly devalued, this needs to be done to cut back. I mean, look at the queue...
Lesser Breeding Coin (x311) | Lesser Breeding Pendant (x383)
This should not be as imbalanced. Pendants are supposed to be rare, so we're hoping this combats it. Think of it logically:
RBPS and MBPs are cheapest and pendants regen at 30 days.
LBPs are mid-grade in price and regen at 60 days.
BPs, EBPS, PBPs, and HBPs are the rarest, and are at a 90 day regen for this reason.
Please understand we do this to keep the balance in the system, and we really want to be fair on all accounts. This effectively means for the amount of LBCs people submit, a little over that amount comes around for free in the system. I hope this pans out eventually despite the obvious frustrations it will cause.
Now aside from this, spend those Candy Canes and Snowflakes and carry on merrily!

I'm just happy this site isn't as bad as Neopets. The inflation on that site is wicked bad.
You can't afford crap. and people cheat.

Nova you are seeing a very small picture out of the whole because most LBP users paid more than 300 gp. I paid near 500. And the gp gotten to pay for the lpbs was usually earned oe donated for like he coins. The breedings sure as heck are not free to those like wolfcat and myself who have donated to get enough for an lpb, this is a literal slap in the face. Any kind of questioning to the community prior to the staff simply talking amongst themselves would have made this news expected and taken less badly. And yes the pendants dont go away but many users do resell them to other users when they find the month long wait not worth it. This provides income to the site and user as users often do donate to get the large amount of gp needed to buy it.

I see your point but what I say stands. People buy breeding pendants because the investment, regardless of whether or not you have to wait 1 year or 3, does eventually pay off in free breedings. If the staff are doing this, it is because they simply don't see it as a viable financial burden they can continue to handle. I can understand why so many users are upset when their expectations are crushed but I don't think it is fair to say that it isn't free and that the investment you made to get the coin has now been ruined when eventually you will be getting your free breedings. Now if the staff were to continue to cut back the regeneration rate, I would see a reason to be pissed, but I don't really think 60 days is as bad as people are making it out to be.

Again what the issue comes down to is that we as users do not have the responsibility to manage the site effectively. If there were too many LBPs in the system it is the responsibility *fully* of the staff to maintain that balance. Failing to do so puts the negative impacts fully on the shoulders of the players who purchased an item that very clearly stated it did something but now does not (it very clearly stated 1 month regen, that was the only way it was going to be monetarily viable for me, taking into account the sheer amount of GP I put into it) and now the rules are changing on us. What difference does it make if I have 4 breedings (on one pendant) waiting in the queue vs. 4 LBCs? I've paid way more GP on the pendant to use than those 4 LBCs anyways so the site wouldn't have made any more money at all...

I'm not really sure, if it would help, but couldn't they make the pendant AD like they did with the mini phoenix tree?

Wow. Hire more staff, don't change something that people have already purchased.
I don't have one, by the way.

Please stop saying oh just hire more staff. If it were that easy I would. I hired two more LBC last night to help. But if you can find me talent that is reliable so easily point me in that direction. Seriously though it does end up as free breedings after initial investment pays off. You need not buy any LBCs with pendant slots. Give that a thought

You keep saying eventually pay off... like after a year. Most of us have had pendants only a few months. I got my first one at the beginning of summer, I got my last one like in November. For people who paid really money, there is no way it has paid off. With a 60 day regen, it takes twice as long to pay off. I'm just saying. I think the staff keeps making the site harder to run by adding new items, but at the same time adding a ton of new rules and being super picky about who to hire for things like the queue. I understand it all, but I don't understand making more trouble for yourselves and later us before fixing an old problem. If another item never got added to the site (besides clothing for the holiday shops), I would be more than happy. If another pet (besides hybrids) never showed up, I would be happy. All of that energy used for those things could be used elsewhere.

By you, I meant everyone who keeps saying it.*

True that, though I don't really imagine the site lasting long at all if Slash goes bankrupt trying to pay artists to do LBP breedings that add nothing to the site because the owner has paid off the original investment. Lets face it; The investment is made because eventually you DO get free breedings which become nothing but a financial burden to the site.
