New Explore pets in't Desert! Go get 'em! *waves arms frantically*
Remember how we said we are changing how Explore pets are released? Well, it's time to listen up again! This week, if you submit colourations for the Phanto, Reve or Soli, you will receive 10 GP per accepted design! Please be sure you check this thread for any additional info.
Starting from today, I will be your host for weekly Explore releases. Whoopee! C: Next week I promise I won't remember just as I am about to climb into bed. Don't forget that if you are the artist of any of the designs above, you are always welcome to contact me for your free copy.

Plush Store - Stocked!

I managed to select twenty pets to encompass our first Aywas Plush Series 1 set... congratulations to their owners. If you want a shot at getting your custom in the upcoming Series 2 set, post the pet on this thread.
I have also threatened forced convinced the Museum to request a collection of all these plushes, for those of you quite in dire need of SP and various other useful items.
This Series 1 collection will grace my shop for an entire four weeks - at that point, they will be retired. In two week's time, I shall give you another twenty plushes to collect and so forth.
Now go patronize my shop!

Diamond Lunaris

The world keeps turning. We don't look back.
We were expecting the Taurus Lunaris to descend from the heavens, like it did a year ago, signaling the start of the Birthday Astrology lunarises. But ever since the Aries Lunaris left, there's been no sign of Taurus.
That's weird. But we're sure it's no big deal. Maybe we'll find something else for you to gather for your birthday...
In the fissures, a magma crater spurts a hot flaming jet of liquid. Within, something seems to shine. A quadruped body shimmers just beneath the surface. It drifts from side to side in the crackling lava until a head breeches the surface, droplets of red trickling down its features like simple, impotent rain.
It pauses there, like it's judging the world around it. Finally, its forepaws, shiny and hard, grasp the edge of the crater. It lifts itself from the magma, the movement smooth and confident, like a fish leaping from the water.
The creature gains its bearings on the blackened earth under its paws. It blinks, then swings its whiplike tail to splatter lava. Crackling and sizzling surrounds the creature as it breaks into a run.
It doesn't know why it's here. But it knows it's meant to be here - if only for ten days.

Sorry about that, there's only so much we can do when someone is really intent on messing with aywas - to react appropriately and try to prepare, but alas we are not psychic and can't anticipate what someone will try to do, or how skilled they are. Nonetheless, we've restored everything we could (only items were affected).
It's annoying, but it's part of having a site. There are always people trying to tear down what you create. All we can do is rebuild and try to come back stronger than ever. And that's what we're going to do - focus on the future.
If you are missing anything IMPORTANT (say 10+ GP value) let us know. Post what you lost here in the news comments. AGAIN, important things only. We are doing this as a favor - by giving you back your favorite items manually, one by one. Please don't abuse that by trying to give us a huge list because we will not do it.
Regenerating items you owned on Saturday and before are still in your inventory. Please don't ask about them unless you bought the item on Sunday or later.
If you have a duplicate item(s), discard it.

A call for moderators!

It's that time again!
Aywas has reached the 20k user milestone! In order to keep up with the demands of such a rapidly growing community, we are looking to expand our staff team. We have opened up a handful of moderator positions and would like to invite you to apply (application and instructions located here). There are a couple things to keep in mind when considering applying for this position:
- As a volunteer position, it is unpaid.
- If accepted, you will enter a trial period where you can get a feel for the job and we have the opportunity to see how you work.
- re: shared accounts. If you are on a shared account and want to be considered for modship, all users on the account must apply. We will only give the account mod status if all users on it are accepted.
- If you have applied before, you are always welcome to send in another application!
- While you are always welcome to apply at any time, the deadline to be considered for this wave of hirees is April 29th. This means you must have your application in by Friday April 29th at 11:59 PM Aywas time.
Note: If you have applied at any time since the last round of moderators were accepted, you are in consideration for this wave.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Aetheria or myself and we would be happy to help! The one thing we will not do, however, is edit, critique or otherwise give you feedback on your application. We are not here to give you information or pointers to regurgitate back to us--we want to get a snapshot of you. Similarly, due to the volume of applications, we will only contact you (on Aywas via PM) if you have been hired.

I might even get the Ay Museum to request sets of plushes depending on which I release. We'll see.
