The Art Gallery has been judged!
The theme was Ornaments and we had some really cool entries that drew on a lot of different talents and concepts. Thanks for making my job difficult!

New Game
Go Caroling!
You get a few Carol Energy per 30 minutes, and the more energy you spend on a caroling, the better a note you can get.

A little holiday-inspired Plush Set was released! Three of them you'll get from advent calendar, and the other four you can find restocking in the Plush Shop. They're fairly low rarity so you should be able to get 'em!
A museum collection will be released on December 25th for these, just like with the bells.

Phuzzaphobia #29978
She has a thread where she makes free customs for people to practice her artwork. She never asks for anything in return, and her designs are always user-specific and very good! On Titbird day she did about a zillion of them for free, and when she hit 25 pages on her thread she started a raffle for some more pre-made customs.
Phuzz is a great person, and I'm glad to say I've got some of her unique customs, and that I consider her a friend :D

A Wish By Rosey Danger #21952
Species in a Bottle to develop a species of fat stegosauruses. The fat stegosauruses would be open to breeding with other users for free and without rules - I'd love a SCC species which is a community rallying point, something for Aywas users to share in and be excited over without a sense of exclusivity and restriction.
There would be a forum dedicated to discussing breedings (my personal first project would be a PBC/HBC with my favourite Chromo custom) and general fat stegosaurus chat, and I'd make plenty of exciting family trees and lists and graphs and maybe even punnet squares to discuss the evolution of traits through the species ;)
Can't really say no to fat dinosaurs..

GP Reversal

If you purchased GP between December 14 - 17, you may have received a message from PayPal informing you that your purchase was reversed. Your GP total was not modified, however.
Please resend the payment to our standard PayPal address, [email protected]. I have a list of all the payments that were reversed so that I can check you off :)

According to the news comments, it looks like PayPal didn't send an email to everyone, so please check your PayPal account to see if the transaction was reversed or canceled - your account will tell you :)

Zephy #215
Zephy does a lot for the site. She's a breeding artist who takes double metal lists and who recently started doing evil and eggnog breedings to try and pick up some parts of the queue that needed it. She fixes mistakes in the breeding mistakes thread. She accepts predicts as well and I know she goes through a few pages of them a day. She also posts in help threads pretty routinely and is always up for helping people out. She makes free PSDs to give out on our joint design sales thread and she'll send out custom making items with the send to random user option. I know she's sneaking cool stuff under random people's trees just like she did last year and in short she's just a killer person.

A Wish By Nova (#8407)
I would like a drawing of all 5 of the main characters in my novel together.
These characters mean a lot to me. I have been working on writing their story for a while. The problem is, I keep running into road block. I keep questioning whether or not I can actually write a book with interesting characters and an interesting plot. I worry that my characters are flat or my novel is cliche. I keep getting stuck or distracted and it's making progress painfully slow. I was hoping, at one point, that I could have someone draw all the characters and that might help me get my muse back but, the problem is being able to afford it. I found someone who was willing to do it at a really affordable price but, unfortunately, they never finished.
What would really help me get my muse back is if a relatively talented artist could be paid to draw them all together. This is my wish.
I'll hook you up. I'm watching some of the best commission artists on DA :) Send me your references and I'll come back with a surprise!!

Belsnickel

Have you been good this year? According to the German tradition of Belsnickel, if you've been good all year -- meaning, you'll get presents -- Belsnickel will put a bell on your headboard while you're sleeping one week before Christmas.
December 18th is one week before Christmas... visit the Belsnickel page every two hours on the 18th to collect bells.
If you collect all seven, you can turn them in on Christmas into the Collections feature for a prize. (:

He has created a couple of feel-good threads that I think are worth noting, such as the forum games Favourite Custom of the User Above You and Compliment the User Above You. Not only do these two games add to Aywas' sense of community, but the threads both encourage people to say something nice about a user they may not even know. I know that his Favourite Custom thread has led to several breeding opportunities and a few conversations some of us wouldn't have had otherwise; as well as inspired other forum games with similar themes. As for his Compliment thread, it can give a much-needed boost on a rough day and is a great way to see the good in people.
In addition, he's generous, kind, easy to talk to, and a great person to approach if you have any questions about custom-making or the site as a whole.
