Time for some new and lovely explore pets! Hope you have fun trying to add these pretties to your lair.
Just so there's no confusion, we'd like to announce that we'll be handling the pet colorations feature from now on. (So anything to do with explore weekly pets, news posts, payment, etc).
Please contact us for your copy of the pet if you designed one of the above!
Next week's bonus pets are the Vyne, Rogr, and Lacer!
If you color one of the above species and have it accepted, you'll receive 10 GP per coloration accepted!
I love seeing new submissions, so go wander over to the forum here!
We're also now accepting Cirrus colorations, but they need to be food themed! They might be used for something fun in the future.

For every purchase of GP you make, you will get 50% extra GP (and you'll get the milestones too). So if you bought 100 GP, you'd get another 50 GP, and the free 20 GP milestone.
The Cash Shop will be 20% off, which means that premium members with six months or more of premium will have 30% off.
Some rare items will be showing up in the Cash Shop for today only, also on sale!
For every $25 or more transaction you make on Aywas, you'll also get 5 Orbs (from Felisfire.com) and 5 VC (from Vmons.com) to play around with on those sites!
Note this is a manual thing so it can take up to 3 days to have your other currencies delivered. I'll reply to your PayPal receipt and ask for your IDs on those sites.

October Xaoc Contest Results
Contests
We challenged users to come up with a candy and/or cake creation that celebreated Aywas' second birthday and/or Halloween and we recieved a number of interesting and unique entries! I encourage you to check out all of the entries here, if you haven't already, because there were more awesome entries than prizes available!
That being said, onto the results!
First Place: Tularemia (#183) - Grand Prize Winner: Xaoc Voucher

The bright colors, detailed icing work and use of airhead pieces for the various sharp points really made this little monster Xaoc look it's best. Excellent work!
Second Place: Ellie (#25718)

This entry stood out for a number of reasons: compact design, very well made, memorable and aesthetically pleasing. Never knew spice drops could be so versatile. The little details, like the ghost's expression and the Xaoc's stitched up face, added to the Halloween theme nicely.
Third Place: Nom86 (#32151)

It's clear there was a lot of thought put into how the candy bits were incorporated in this entry. The bright colors and ghoulish candies really suited the theme of this contest and the melted candy spider web was a nice added touch.
Fourth Place: Jiel (#9609)

This is one nicely done cake Xaoc. All of the details are defined well and the bangs/pumpkin gave this entry a nice pop of color. Not to mention, it looks quite tasty.

What a festive entry! How better to express the essence of Halloween than with a beautifully crafted pumpkin cake? The addition of candy corn and candy corn pumpkins helped round out the design nicely.

Account Moving Records
Rules
As of 11/21/2011, we have created a new rule in the TOS:
Users who move accounts must submit the Account Moving Records form here on this thread.
We have recently had some issues with scammers account hopping after stealing from other players. To make a safer place for everyone to play, we will be enforcing this rule 100%. Anyone found moving accounts without submitting the form will be temporarily or permanently banned, so please be sure to fill out the form before moving.
If you have already moved accounts before this notice, you do not need to fill out the form. If you share your computer with another Aywas member, it is best practice to let staff know by posting a notice to your profile on who shares the computer with you.
The Terms of Service has been updated to reflect this rule.

Art Gallery & Updates!

The Art Gallery has been judged!
The task was wood carvings or wood sculptures, which proved to be a challenge, leaving us with only two winners this week.

I'll be at work from 11:30 PM (Thursday night) - 9 AM (Friday morning), so hopefully I'll come home in one piece. XD If you're going out shopping this year, be careful--and kind to your fellow shoppers and store employees.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

Today is the 13th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, founded to remember, honor and memorialize those who have been victims of transgender hatred, prejudice and violence. Essentially, these people were killed for simply trying to express and enjoy who they truly were. These deaths are not the result of a tragic accident or evil or something similarly blameless--they are the result of actions made by people turning against one another.
We live in an age where violence is disturbingly unsurprising, but that doesn't mean we should complacently accept it, forget the grim realities surrounding us, or think that someone else is going to stand up for you and the things you believe in. Awareness is instrumental in making a difference, so I urge you to please take a few moments and read about the day of remembrance and look over some of those who have fallen to hate-filled homicide. It was illuminating for me, so I hope you'll be affected in some way too.
Actions motivated by hatred aren't okay, and we must never forget that, nor the victims that have fallen to such prejudice.
