Lunaris and Vion Day! Lion Day?

Though Vions will be getting in on the action, too.
We have four brand new Lunaris-themed items for you and your pets to enjoy.
Lunaris Star Blades and the Lunaris Shield will have you leaving your battle opponents literally starstruck! They are r100 items, so you might get lucky and have Kaz throw one at you--even though that doesn't sound particularly safe.
You'll also see the Starry Lunaris Cocktail and Starry Lunaris Soup stocking in Energy Dishes and Tasty Ay Foods, respectively. I'm sure Chaos will be requesting these snazzy new ingredients in his cooking classes, too!
In honor of Lunaris Day, you can pick up your complementary Lunaris Gift Bag from the advent calendar tomorrow. That way, our players from every timezone will be able to have a full 24 hours to snag one. :)
The bag contains 3 random items of the following pool:

These are sitting pretty in the Cash Shop for their usual 250 GP and will be available until May 16th at 11:59 PM.
Don't have 250 GP? Then you might be interested in one of our upcoming raffles, so keep an eye out!
We added 12 new Lunaris colorations, so head on over to the Aywapedia if you want to take a peek at them all!
To help you obtain the new colorations, we have the Jar of Sparkles! It has 4 charges and each use will give you one of these new Lunaris Day pets! You can find it in the GP Shop for 20 GP, but you'll also see it appear as a contest prize and maybe even turn up in the Donation Box. :)
Now onto a little bit of Vion fun!
Our other maned rare also has 12 new colorations! We've stuffed them all inside this Shimmering Blue Pod, which also has 4 charges and will be given out as random online prizes throughout today and tomorrow. It's sitting alongside the Jar of Sparkles for 20 GP as well. You might find this one in the Donation Box, too!
You knew these would turn up somehow. :P
We will be hosting a raffle for one of these babies soon, so keep an eye out for that!
For some simple contest fun, I'd like to direct you to the Events forum. :3
I know we've been on an event marathon lately, but these contests are fun and super easy to enter, I promise!
First up is Roaring Stars, where you write a description for one of the new Vion or Lunaris colorations released today! All participants receive Luna Berries, and winners will receive extra prizes!
And the second is Custom Dreams, which is exactly what it sounds like. Simply tell us about your Vion- or Lunaris-related custom aspirations, and you might just find yourself the owner of one!

Story Game Revival
Contests
Pretend I'm not here, or that I'm her or have her voice or something like that.
Ready to do some writing? The story game is starting up again with a brand new story. These stories will run for 10 weeks each with a new winner chosen every Friday night at 11:59 PM AST.
For the first few entries, it's a free-for-all where the most interesting story continuation is chosen with a nod to spelling, grammar, and storytelling conventions. However, at week 8-9, only continuations that contain a climax/falling action will be chosen. At week ten, your entry should end the story.

Next week's bonus explore pets are the Maki, Oske and Chromo!
If you color one of the above species and have it accepted, you'll receive 10 GP per coloration accepted instead of the normal 3GP!
If you want to design some, go and post them in their respective threads here!
The Little Pet Shop of Horrors seems to have applied for a building permit. Perhaps some changes will come to that shop in the future?

Scribble Day Madness!

It seems that 20 scribble pets have invaded Explore and Adventure! ;~;
If for some strange reason you actually want to own these abominations, you have until May17th at 11:59 PM to grab 'em!
These pets will be retired after they are removed from the regions, so make sure you get ahold of them while you can.
But wait, there's more!
Nyoko is hosting a Scribble-A-Pet-Above-You thread.
You can have some fun doodling the active pet of the person above you and might even get to keep the doodle someone makes for you as a prize!
A strange, scribble-sponsored Blind Date thread has also appeared. If you've always wanted to make unpredictable doodle babbies, then this matchmaking service might be just the thing for you!
The Seasonal Shop is also now stocked!
Remember, the Rad Custom Crystal is available only today!
We'll leave the other items in until May 17th at 11:59 PM to coincide with the pets.

Scribble Day!

This is what happens when you people sell Nyoko Slashbot slots.
But it's going to be awesome!
Meet the Rad Custom Crystal, soon to be the most sought-after custom item Aywas has ever seen!
Who needs fancy shmancy hybrids and rares done with meticulous detail when you can have kindergarten-scribbled pets!
These will only be available for Scribble Day (but will work indefinitely) and can make custom scribble alts with "painted on" edits clipped to the base, but other than that, no edits. You have a spectacular set of alts to choose from!

Fauna deserve some doodle-y love too, so here's a brand new set of five scribbled pets for your pet to enjoy!

Medieval Feast

For beverages, can we either interest you in some tasty Spiced Wine or classic Medieval Ale?
Our appetizers this evening will be fresh Baked Bread with a side of brothy Cabbage Stew and hearty Pork Tarts.
The main dishes of the meal feature birds and boars.
You have your choice of a delectable Goose in Grape Sauce, a feathered Roasted Peacock, a large Stuffed Suckling Pig and a Festooned Boar's Head (cook's specialty).
And for our dessert course, we're offering a Fruit Custard Pie, made with fresh berries and best with some of that Spiced Wine!
You can treat your pets to a fine feast by picking up these items in the Seasonal Shop.

Writing Contests
The Glittering Gala featured several types of writing contests to showcase various forms and levels of written command. Even though the prompts and parameters varied, each contest celebrated the Gala in some way.
Structured
The structured writing contest had a prompt of drama for the Glittering Gala.
Entries could take the form of either a short story or epic poem and had to follow specific guidelines. They were a joy go through, so check out the submissions if you haven't already! Here are our winners:

Freeform & Lyrical Poetry

Medieval Fantasy Weapons!

Medieval weaponry has arrived!
You can now pick up these five weapons in the Seasonal Shop!
I will also be extending the time on catching the Medieval Fantasy pets until May 12th at 11:59 PM.
(That's the same time when the Seasonal Shop closes.)
The Gold Coins, however, will still be removed after tonight (May 11th) at 11:59 PM.
Our medieval feast is still to come and will help us wrap up the event. :)
