Introducing the Grappling Hook!
This item was developed directly from a user suggestion and is now available for purchase from the BP Shop.
We're all guilty of encouraging our pets to jump dangerous ravines in pursuit of shiny items and pets for our hoards. Now you can feel slightly less bad about putting your pet up to such a task by using the Grappling Hook!
It increases their chance of successfully landing on the other side by 15% and has a 24 hour no-break period. After 24 hours is up, it has a small break chance. To use the Grappling Hook, activate it from the Items menu on the Adventure screen and enjoy!

Story Game Think Tank

Though there's no judging on the Story Game this week since we don't have enough entries, Sennara has opened up a Think Tank thread here that I'd like you to check out!
We are looking for feedback on the Story Game, Writing Contest, and other writing features.
We have always received requests for ways to feature writing on Aywas, but any time we spotlight it in a competitive setting, we don't get the response that we expected based on the demand for the contest. If you love writing or have ideas for writing-based features, please share your thoughts with us!

Adventure/Battledome Tweaks

If you'd like to contribute your experience and help in tweaking Adventure and Battledome so it's easier to level and more accessible to play, please head on over to this thread where you'll get to interact with our awesome programmer LostNova (#45350)!
We realize that leveling and wild pet strength makes leveling difficult, and that there might be other eccentricities of the feature that don't make it accessible, especially for newbies. Please share your feedback so we can get those ironed out :)

Essence of Revamp

The Essence of Revamp is stocking in the Metalsmithing Shop!
This essence allows you to revamp one of your custom's artwork. Useful if you want to redraw any customs you made years ago. Please note that edits and colors must still be the same from old to new, so you might want to drop your image in the crystal check feature before you submit.
The components of the item can be found in either the Fissures or the BP Shop.

Apocalypse Hound Event Part 4

By an overwhelming majority, Annie was judged to be guilty. The oakl was still with shock, but as court security came to collect her, she bolted upright, and started yelling protests.
"No, I didn't do it!"
"I said exactly what you told me to say! You said we'd go free!"
But whoever she was talking to did not answer. Lester and Putman simply watched as the girl was removed from the town hall. The townspeople broke out in murmurs. Clearly there was more to this case than they had thought.
"I think I know how to get to the bottom of this..." Lester muttered to himself. Little did he know, the ears of the Mother Hound were nearby...
Lester marched out the front doors of town hall, and headed south towards downtown alone. All the suspects had grown up in the orphanage, and it was there where he would find the answers to his questions...

Despite the best efforts of the resistance, things just keep getting darker and darker for our once peaceful little town... rumors of other apocalyptic beasts appearing out of the depths of the sewers have grown prevalent. They say that if one offers them their earthly possessions, they will pledge their loyalty to you... but what kind of evil-hearted person would want a demonic army?
Jester has created the two Apocalypse SCC species you see above--a horse and cat--which will both be raffled and auctioned off for YOU to potentially own!
The HORSE will be raffled off for BP.
Tickets will be unlimited and sold for 50k each.
I will post an Ice Sleeves raffle momentarily!
The raffle will be drawn some time on the evening of the 13th, so to be safe, make sure you get your tickets by May 12 at 11:59 p.m.
The CAT will be auctioned off for GP.
Bids are in GP ONLY.
To bid, post in the news comments below.
Starting Bid: 1 GP
Minimum Increment: 1 GP

Ending Time: May 12 at 11:59 p.m.
Bids on 11:59 count; bids after do not.

Explore Pet Cleanout

Poll time!
How many of you would like explore pets to retire from their areas after a certain amount of time (available only through Truly Random Eggs, Glittering Rocks, and so forth)?
The benefit to this would be making it easier to locate new pets in the explore regions, of course, if the older ones get retired on a schedule! As well as older colorations should become more valuable.
