Hmm, something strange seems to be in the water supply of Downtown... it seems that when exposed to an unstable breeding coin, the water can cause some... abnormalities... in the resulting eggs. Namely, hatching into a horrible toothy dog monster.
In other words, any Radioactive Breeding Coin breeding submitted today, May 1st, has a slim chance of turning up a metal Apocalypse Hound babby if the breeding rolls a non-mutant! But the citizens of Downtown are working fast to clean up the water, so these toxic effects will only be in effect for one day.

Explore Charms
Items
The Explore Shop is now stocking pet charms! These are one-use items that attract a pet of their respective genus to you in explore.
All of them stock for 25,000 BP (with the exception of the Oakl Charm, which stocks for 50,000 BP), so have fun restocking the ones that you want! They're R-30 so some should restock every time the shop does.

Site Update
Aywas has added a few new subforums!
First up is the To-Do List, which is under Suggestions.
This is a place for us to move suggestions that have been accepted but not yet implemented (Accepted Suggestions is used for implemented/complete ideas that were accepted). As we utilize this area, you will be able to see which ideas are slated for implementation so that you know what's coming up and won't make duplicate threads, etc. It'll help us be more transparent in what we're working on and what our goals are for the site. :3
We have also added a Think Tank area under Aywas Talk.
Prior to the Think Tank, we got a lot of our feedback through news comments, messages, and places like Aywas Talk and Suggestions. While these are great ways to communicate and all still serve a function, I felt like something was missing, and the Think Tank is the answer to that! Basically, this is a centralized location for staff to create all sorts of threads in with the goal of getting your feedback.
Moving forward, we will utilize this area for staff-sponsored projects (like Mauri's FAQ project, which has been moved there) and things like asking for Art Gallery themes. Before, you could make a Suggestion thread for an art gallery theme idea, but these ideas might not gain a lot of traction since it's something so specific, and if I'm looking to add 5 themes at a time, I might have to go through 20 pages of suggestions or news posts to find enough.
Both areas are pretty bare right now, but you'll see them filling up soon.
I hope you appreciate these new additions and am especially looking forward to seeing your ideas in the Think Tank!

Art Gallery
The art gallery has been judged!
The theme was Ara Backgrounds, where artists were tasked with the challenge of creating background landscapes for the Seaside, Grasslands, and Wasteland. You guys did a phenomenal job and I was excited to see a lot of styles and interpretations of our Adventure areas handled so well.
We try to incorporate user work as much as possible and I'm glad we could extend it to site backgrounds. :3
So, without further ado, here are our winners!

I will be contacting each of you for a day/night version of your image (opposite of whatever you submitted).
A news post will be made when the new themes are implemented and when the additional ones are available.
I will also be making a post regarding fixes for themes that exploded after the downtime, so keep an eye out!

This can be done in any medium and of course must be Aywas related. Feel free to get creative!
