The lively Oak Lunaris is the fourth in our series of thirteen inspired by Celtic tree astrology and coinciding with lunar months. Those of you with birthdays from June 10th - July 7th will receive a copy of this feline on the anniversary of your spectacular birth if you visit Aywas that day and click the birthday link!
(This one is coming a few hours early, so if your birthday is today and you're collecting your Lunaris after this announcement (but before 11:59 p.m. tonight) and wanted the Hawthorn, please PM Kyu (#1010) with a link to your pet to get that switched! And a very happy birthday to you! :D)

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming for this important message - the Knowledge Base has been updated with four new guides on Custom Pets! (About time, pony, what have you been doing?) Truth be told I started on one but it led to another... and another... and another... turns out these topics are so interconnected it's hard to write about any of them without the others. :X I'm sorry. I'm also still working on a newbie guide, it just got shelved for a bit while these were finished up.

This beautiful dress turned up in a nice box on my doorstep this morning with a note pinned to it:
This dress was made to celebrate Deja's (#305) birthday! Deja is a lovely soul who cares deeply for her friends, she's there whenever you need her. She's been a great friend to both me and those around her for a long time now, and I can honestly say Deja is one of those friends you can truly rely on and today is the day to celebrate how truly wonderful she is.
The dress will be in Trash for Treasure until 11:59pm 10th June, so be sure to get your copy before then!

The Cracked Teacup totals are in for our HIV/AIDS fundraiser, and
as a community, you raised an impressive $1,452!
Thank you so much for your support of the event and fundraiser!
I am actually speaking with someone from AVERT (one of the organizations we spotlighted in the news) about what our event did for them, and hope to share some special notes with you later this week about that. :3
Remember how I mentioned we'd be adding a few more pets to the site due to the overwhelming amount of stellar submissions? Well, they're finally here! There are 7 new pets in total, all of which are permanent additions to the site, and you can find them everywhere from Adventure to the Trash Shop, Premium Outlet, and Annoying Item Bazaar. Enjoy!
I am now working on finalizing the accepted pet list and payments, so if you created a pet for the event, you should see your payment coming in soon!

Argus had a happy ending

AtkinsDover (#48446): I have news for everyone! According to teahound, Argus was adopted by a family a little after noon EST =) As I understand it, he has a forever home now and was not euthanized! The shelter received the emails Aywas users sent regarding his euthanasia and he was then adopted after his extension =) I'll have him post here with more details when he gets home!
You guys are amazing! I'm so very proud that the impact of the Aywas community meant that this kitten got a few more hours of safety, and in that time, HE GOT ADOPTED!
Well done! I will always be proud of our community for the good we do :)
I know there are a ton of shelter animals that need help, but knowing our community saved at least one of them is a great feeling. Thank you to everyone who sent out emails to the shelter and granted Argus that extension with your interest!

Update: Fire � Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.

Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.
