Hello again, Aywas!
After leaving the poll up for the full weekend, waiting until votes slowed and we felt we had gotten as many votes as we could, it's been decided that all Breeding Pendants will become predict-only. We will be giving a grace period of until 12:00 am, August 1st for users to submit any last breedings with the pendants before we turn them over to predicts. If you have a current Pendant breeding in queue, it will not be affected by this change; this decision is only for Pendant breedings going forward starting August 1st.
With this change, however, we wanted to make predictions a little more enticing for our users, so we're announcing updated and new kickbacks!
Some have been updated, such as Breeding Coins going from 10 GP to 25 GP. Some have been added, including Sketch and Scribble which give 7 and 12 GP respectively! None have been lowered, though some remain the same.
We'll be working on including these in the Knowledge Base, so be on the lookout for that! Until then, however, here's the full list of Breeding kickbacks;
• Platinum Breeding Coin/Pendant - 30 GP + Grazelle Sapling
• Alidae Egg, Blind Date, Breeding Coin/Pendant, Eggnog, Dragon Lotus, Evil Breeding Coin/Pendant, Holiday Breeding Coin/Pendant, Neura Embryo, Transitional Fossil Egg - 25 GP
• Scribble Breeding Coin, Smudged Scribble Breeding Coin - 12 GP
• Sketch Breeding Coin - 7 GP
• Metal Breeding Coin/Pendant - 500,000 BP + 5 GP
• Holiday Mistletoe, Lesser Breeding Coin/Pendant, Mininogg, Painted Lesser Breeding Coin, Painted Metal Breeding Coin, Speed Dating Slip - 5 GP
• Rusted Breeding Coin - 3 GP
• Half Lesser Breeding Coin - 2 GP
• Radioactive Breeding Coin/Pendant - 150,000 BP
• Derp Breeding Coin - 60,000 BP
These new kickbacks will take effect immediately!
There will be more announcements forthcoming, but we still need a little bit of time to work them out so that it's fair and benefits everyone, so stay tuned over the next couple of months!

Question, the "kickbacks", is it the person who does the predict the one that gets the GP+ whatever?
For those upset about the change, think about the wellbeing of the artists who were overwhelmed with how backed up the queue was.

The kickback is sent to the account where the breeding and predicts were submitted. You can work with an artist to use the kickback as partial or full payment if they're interested in that, or you can just commission an artist and then get the kickback as some GP to offset what you paid for predictions.

I still feel like there should be a trade in option for those who no longer want their pendants due to the predict requirement now. Similar to slashbots.
I do like the increased kick backs and increased artist pay. That is good news.

Predict kickbacks don't help when everyone takes mostly real money now. If anything, I think they would inflate GP more.

This was a tough bandaid to rip off, but in the long run this is the only option for functionality that makes any sense. Extend regen times and you'll just be back to this point again in the future, it isn't a solution.
I do agree tradeins should be an option, in addition to making them predict only. The poll could have had a lot more flexibility in general, and there are a lot of good options for tradeins that I think should be considered. Now that predict only has been decided, perhaps we could have another poll asking about options for tradeins that users might be interested in? Obviously not trading them for anything that compounds the problem, but custom makers/etc perhaps?

people who are complaining don't seem to realize how harmful these things have been and how much woe they've caused the site for so long. there are ways around this for non-artists, too, and it gives them more incentive to use currency to pay artists for predicts. artists haven't gotten much of anything in eons, no reason to continue any business, and site artists have only been suffering. this gives non-site artists even more incentive to stick around.
that said, i do still agree with trade-ins. i think that'd ease the blow a little.

So I was only coming Aywas to use my RBPs for months now as they were only fun thing left for me and now they gone too
I dont plan spending 10gp for a Rbc predict
I guess I will just leave for good

predict-only only applies to pendants and certain items that were established as predict-only previously, so the breeding team still works on a lot of different coins and breeding items odin (#997)
